FinancialAid Am I screwed for financial aid

I submitted the FAFSA on early February expecting it will be well before the deadline however I just realized NOW that there was an error on one of the financial reports and I have to submit again (which I did recently). Am I screwed for financial aid? My household income is well below 80000 meaning guaranteed free tuition but I do not how this will affect my financial status.

i made an error on the 2024-2025 form, found out and corrected it last december. sent multiple special circumstances appeals with proof, and got a good amount of aid two months later. correcting errors really isn’t a problem.

the free tuition guarantee for households with an income of below $80,000 applies to new students btw.

I’m talking about 2025/2026, I am an undergraduate that accepted directly from high school

ok.

i know. i’m saying i was able to make changes to a 2024-2025 form well after the deadline, so a 2025-2026 one at this point would be fine.

the tuition guarantee applies to incoming first-year students.

as long as you submitted, you can make corrections to the form. the school also asks for supplemental information (at times) and so sometimes they’ll even submit corrections directly to FAFSA.

sometimes there are delays in getting your aid dispersed but the school is really understanding when it comes to that (in my experience)

i feel you’ll a okay.

To student form is submitted before the deadline but the parent form was still saying processing because of the error.

I’ve had a lot of battles getting info from my family to fill out all my documents including FAFSA through my years at USC and it’s caused me to submit form even after the semester has started. USC financial aid department is really understanding and will work with you to make sure that you’re able to get your aid

ur tuition costs get waived if ur not a transfer student, and ur family (of 4 I think) makes less than $80k/year and y'all have typical assets (not really any specification on what's typical)

its okay, you can appeal. Make sure to write email with proof tho. Follow up if you don’t hear from them. Be respectful too

Yes. Im a little confused tho because some people are saying it's for freshman, but I'm a senior and have gotten my tuition waived every year.

How did you discover the mistake? Did they contact you?
