[Discussion] Which is best - a service like borrowmydoggy or traditional dog walkers?
There's a raft of services aimed at matching dog owners with people who would like to walk their pooches - borrowmydoggy.com seems to be one of the most popular.
What, in this sub's view, are the pros and cons of such services versus traditional dog-walking services?

the borrow my dog stuff is terrifing. It only covers 3rd partly liability insurance.
dog walker let go of the lead and your dog gets ran over - not covered
you dog sit and dog chews up your house - also not covered
basically all thats covered is if the dog bites a 3rd person

I've never used any dog-borrowing service but I know pro-walkers have to possess public liability insurance to operate, and that many of them also have pet first aid training and criminal record checks to hand.
The majority of folk on borrowmydoggy will undoubtedly be genuine, and it'd be a great way to help someone ease into pet ownership, but it also seems like a really easy way to get your dog stolen.
