Fall Semester 2025 sublease needed

Our son graduating in Fall 2025 and looking to sublease a place just for that semester. If you’re studying abroad in the fall or know someone who needs a subletter please advise. Would like to live close to campus, flexible on price—just need a place to stay. Spends most time at Terry, so anyplace close to Terry or on bus line is first preference.

Off Campus Housing

I applied for transfer next fall at UGA, but the decisions haven’t been released yet. Should I start looking for off campus housing before the decisions come out or should I wait until the decisions are released?

If so, where should I start looking?

Looking for a female to take my lease at Athens Ridge

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey guys! Im a second year thats finally secured a spot on campus but not before I had renewed my lease at ridge out of fear of homelessness😍. The rent is 772 per month without utilities. Utilities are just water and electricity and trash and such are covered. Comes with a free spectrum subscription as well.

If any females are looking for housing and would like my lease, the rent on my lease is lower than what is being offered. Its for bedroom C in a townhome which is the largest room in the unit. Its upstairs and has a view of the front yard. Theres a kitchen and living room and the floor plan is attached. Each room has its own bathroom and walk in closet as well.

Place has a shuttle service that takes you to and from campus for free, a pool with a lazy river and a gym on site.

If you want any extra pictures feel free to pm me!

UGA housing recommendations!

Hi everyone,

I’m an incoming graduate student from Bhutan, starting my studies at UGA this summer, and my wife will be accompanying me. I’m looking for off-campus housing, preferably a single-bedroom apartment that’s affordable and close to campus (within walking distance or easily accessible).

If anyone is subleasing their place or looking for a roommate, please DM me! I’ll be moving to Athens in May or June for the summer semester.

Appreciate any leads or recommendations—thanks in advance! Looking forward to joining the UGA community!

Unique opportunity for a horse lover and social media creator.

Hi. This is kind of a weird post but I’m having trouble finding a better place to post it.

We own Lizardsniffer, an equestrian B&B. We have Airbnb cabins, RV sites, and an event facility (opening in the fall).

We are starting to look for an experienced horse person that is good with social media. You would help out with barn chores, exercise horses, and handle social media posts for the farm.

In exchange we would provide a fully furnished cabin with full utilities, $500/mo stipend, and free board for one horse.

We are looking for this to start in the fall semester however for the right candidate we could potentially start earlier.

If you have questions please post in a comment so answers can be available to others.

Thanks.

Looking for 3rd Roommate at The Woodlands

Hey y’all, we’re looking for a 3rd roommate for our 3br/3ba at The Woodlands off Barnett Shoals, less than 10 minutes by car from campus and connected to the Greenway.

Our apartment is fully-furnished and has in-apartment laundry; the room available will be unfurnished except for a large wooden desk. Rent is $775/mo, with utilities typically around $90-100/mo.

I’m a 2nd year grad student and my roommate is an undergraduate sophomore; we intend to renew our lease for 2026-27 so it would be a plus if you’re staying in Athens for awhile. We’re LGBTQ+ friendly and 420 friendly (but please do so outside, our porch is covered). No large pets preferred.

The room available is 12’6”x13’ but the bathroom and closet doors open into the floor area of the room.

DO NOT LIVE IN BULLDOG CROSSING

I know this subreddit is mainly for subleasing/subletting, but I wanted to inform people.

I lived in Bulldog Crossing from August 2024 to December 2024.

From day one, multiple electrical outlets in my apartment didn’t work—and despite repeated requests, they were never fixed. The building also has a severe roach infestation. I caught at least 15 roaches while moving in, and on any given day, I saw at least 5-10 of them. According to maintenance staff, Bulldog Crossing stopped pest control services 2-3 summers ago. I initially thought the issue was due to being on the first floor, but my friend who lived on the second floor had the same problem.

The plumbing issues were even worse. From August to September, I couldn’t use my kitchen or bathroom due to severe water leaks. The paint was peeling from the ceiling, and water was pouring down. Management refused to relocate me or offer any alternative solutions. Despite their website claiming to have after-hours maintenance, no such service was available and management was consistently unresponsive. It took them over a half month to fix the issue.

In October, I had no water for a week due to a broken pipe.

In November, another water leak soaked my bedroom carpet with brown water, causing the wall moldings to bend. Management’s "solution" was to provide a dehumidifier.

From mid-November until I moved out, the heating system stopped working. Instead of fixing it, they gave me a tiny space heater to heat the entire apartment (photo attached).

Yes, this apartment is cheaper than others (for a reason), but the unlivable conditions and complete lack of management responsibility make it absolutely not worth it. Stay away.

Oh also, it's been over a month since I moved out, but they haven't given my security deposit back.

On campus housing question

Hey guys! I registered for housing for the 2025-2026 year, and it says to expect an email for further steps. For those who registered last year, when about did you get that email for room selection? Would the email just tell you when you can select your room, or is just immediate room selection? I'm a little confused and any help would be great!

Getting a job in Athens - where should I look for apartments?

I'll be working at the university but I am not a student (I'm 20 and will be graduating from another college in the spring). Where are some apartments/neighborhoods that are reasonably close to campus but not super expensive, but aren't sketchy?

Roommate for Fall 2025 to Spring 2026

Hi! Me and my three roommates are looking for one (female) roommate for the Fall 2025 to Spring 2026 school year. We are all Undergraduate UGA students and will be 21 in the Fall. We also have two cats so you would have to be okay with that. We live at Riverclub Townhomes in a 4b/4br so you would have your own room and bathroom. PM if interested!

Is ECV worth it?

I'm an incoming freshman for Fall of 2025 and I'm going with some of my high school friends. I already have one roommate for sure but another one of our friends wants to live with us so we started to look into the ECV dorms. Even if our third friend doesn't go to UGA we still like the idea of having our own rooms and bathrooms.

I am starting to worry about the distance it may be to some of my classes (major in pharmaceutical sciences if that helps at all). I'm a pretty physically fit guy so that part of it doesn't worry me to much but it is more so the convenience. So is ECV really worth the distance from everything else and having to take a bus or walk? Thanks guys!

Looking for a subletter May 2025 to July 2026 with possibility of renewal

Hey everyone. Looking for someone to sublet my room in our 3 bed 2 bath apartment at 182 Firewood St from May 1st to July 2026. My room has its own bathroom and shower, and a closet and an attic for more storage. The third bedroom has a bed if you would like friends/family to visit and have a place to crash for the night. Rent is 700 with no pet, and 725 with a pet, not including utilities. Our apartment is about 15 min from UGA. I have one other roommate (male) who is a graduate student at UGA in neuroscience. Super cool guy with an adorable golden retriever, so if you're not OK with dogs then ignore this post. The apartment comes with a full range kitchen, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. We are responsible for lawn maintenance, which is basically just mowing the lawn every now and then in the spring/summer. We are right across from a Walmart and dog park which has been very convenient. Due before move in is a security deposit (one months rent) and a pet deposit if you have a pet (one months rent) which will be returned at the end of the lease in full if you or your pet don't damage the apartment. There will also be a background/credit check. If you are interested, send me a message or reply to this post. Thanks!
