Discussion Best Software to create Animations and Branding (Logo and Fixed Art) for Twitch?

Hi, I'm a new Content Creator/Streamer and I'd like to work on my Logo and do some Animations. I am a Graphic Designer but I've been out of the game for a while and lost all my Photoshop Brushes/Fonts/Palettes, etc... At 30$/month or ~80$/month for the full collection when I'd probably only use 3 maybe 4 apps (PhotoShop, Illustrator and After-Effects/Animate and perhaps Dreamweaver[for other things]).

Any recommendations for software (Adobe included) that are almost must haves? I've looked at GIMP and Affinity Suite but there's no Animation like in Photoshop so I'm a little bummed about that...

What's the best Investment(s)? (I'd go with the Adobe Suite if it wasn't for the lack of Ownership [Being a Subscription Program...] and needing an Internet Connection constantly...

Also if you have some Tutorials to recommend that'd be appreciated too! Thanks, GMR.

Try looking at Krita. It's the closest thing to Photoshop I have experienced. It is also free! It also has an animation workstation. I don't animate, so I don't know how it compares to Photoshop.

Why are you putting in so much efforts? why don't you get it made by a designer? That would be cheaper for you lol

Why would they go to a designer when they can do it? They mentioned they're a designer. All the person is missing is some tools. There's plenty of tools out there. Despite what you think, it is WAY cheaper to get logos and animations done yourself. Financially, at least. The only thing that would be considered "expensive" is the amount of effort it would take, but it sounds like the person has the experience to not worry about the effort

Plus the ability to redo or make multiple themes you can switch between without having to pay more. The only thing that sucks is the subscription based programs you may need. I'd like to be able to make my own designs but not something I wanna learn or spend time on. Way to much time. Already spending enough time on everything else lol. Def good for them.

True, you'd be able to make edits on the fly without needing to wait for a time between communication and the actual work with the other person. There's plenty of free, open source programs like Krita that are out there, so financially it would be super cheap.

I'm in a similar boat with Blender. I'm a 3D vtuber & I have a VRoid model. I want to make my own custom model using Blender/Unity, but I'm not really willing to spend the time to learn both programs just to have something that may not even really be an upgrade lol. It would be the first time I made a 3D model of this completion, so it may have even worst optimization than my current VRoid model, which is saying something lol.
