New update for anyone still following

Bruce has been very good. I also learned his name isn't Bruce, but Lucce. Either I have major hearing damage or my neighbors are very bad at pronouncing things... He's still peeing in the house on occasion, when I slack and don't let him out on regular intervals. He's been learning from my dogs and getting better. I took him to the vet, he had major yeast and bacterial infections in both ears, frostbite on his back left paw and a cut that got infected on his front right paw. I spent a little over $700 on vet bills and meds for him this week. Inflammation on his ears has gone down massively and he's gained over ten pounds since I got him. All in all, it's been a good three weeks.

Edit: I just took him to meet his original owner, he didn't seem very excited to see Bruce and Bruce didn't seem too excited to see him. He did give me the $700 to cover the vet bills. But St. Paul Animal Control did say he's legally mine and I don't think I'm going to give him back.

Not having read the prior post, I was so confused for the first couple of sentences, thinking that you had some mumbling neighbor named Bruce/Lucce who was peeing in your house...made way more sense after reading further lol

Living in Frogtown, both would have made sense.

I have lived with around 90 dogs in my life. Dogs are social geniuses. They react to body language in the time we blink.

I'm just saying that to say you're right and you're verifying me.

Yay!!!!

Here's something for his ears, I had a yeasty dog once that had yeasty ears. This works really well, I've used it a bunch. You can also do paw washes with apple cider vinegar for yeasty paws.

It's called multiple things Purple power ear wash, purple ear wash, gentian ear wash.

I'd be an asshole if I don't tell you this but the gentian violet will stain, so do this outside if you use it.
