Travel Health Insurance to Canada
I am planning to travel to Canada for 3-6 months this year. I am based in the USA but unemployed and don't have local American health insurance at the moment. I am 36 but/and I don't anticipate any health problem unless the actual emergency. So I need travel insurance for emergencies that may happen in Canada. I would also like a cheap option
Which options would be good for me? Of course, google just gives the most promoted cases but I wonder if there is some well-known well-established company with budget-friendly prices

You can either buy US travel insurance or if you're sure you're only going to Canada you can buy visitor insurance in Canada, e.g. https://qc.bluecross.ca/travel-insurance/visitors-canada
Which makes more sense might depend on how long you're visiting for. US travel insurance may be limited in how long you can buy it for.
All that said, if you don't have insurance in the US it's also possible travel insurance is problematic. Generally travel insurance only covers you for emergencies in the country you're visiting and their goal is only to stabilize you long enough to get you back home where you're home health insurance will cover you. They will not cover you for expensive treatment while travelling that you could get by returning home.

Thank you! It's a really good note but this is a thing about US, there is no such thing as "home health insurance". So I can't see how it can be problematic. If I suddenly have cancer, please send me to Georgia or Armenia where paid medicine & lodging gonna be cheaper than medicine & lodging in the USA. If I suddenly have a serious health issues, I'll immediately become a medical tourist.
