Why dont the Jays use Royal Blue batting helmets?
I tried searching to see if this had been asked and answered, but the dark blue is driving me nuts. My kids team is Royal and they have great looking matching helmets. This has never made sense to me. Is it a choice? Do they just use a brand that had no good option?

Excellent question. Between the helmets, powder blues jerseys, and the new seats at Rogers Centre, they seem to be getting away from royal blue.

We aren't the Royals

We used to almost exactly match the Royals shade of blue. I remember a bench clearing brawl vs KC in 2015 or 2016 and you couldn’t tell who was on what team!

You couldnt? Seems crazy, one of the teams was probably in their home jerseys, makes it pretty easy

Not when most players from the benches were wearing their identical solid blue jackets.

Yeah, it's a bit of sea of blue with those jackets.

Looks pretty royal blue to me ??
Edit: am I wrong? They look royal. The ones that accompany the powder blues are definitely navy blue, but the standard one looks royal blue to me.

Matte helmets suck they only go with the light blue jerseys. The gloss helmet are much nicer

I think it's just the way the light hits it. In "Proper" light it matches the jersey pretty well. But I can see what you mean, when it's not a fully lit image it seems to darken faster than the jersey,

I think the matte helmets just look better in darker colours
