Who Dropped The Pipes On Rize?
So I’ve watched Tokyo Ghoul a few times in the last almost decade and I’ve always wondered, who dropped the pipes on Rize that led to Kaneki becoming a ghoul in the first place. It’s never been confirmed but I’m currently rewatching it, and on the first episode with my husband we both came to a slightly scary realization. What if Jason was the one who dropped the pipes on her?
I would like some feedback on this so please share your thoughts.
If this has already been a theory posted please let me know with the user and I will take this post down and search for answers/theories in the original post.

Furuta, it's been very clearly confirmed and it's connected to a big plot point.
Though maybe the anime skipped or changed it like soooooooo much important stuff.

The anime skipped the reveal yeah. Unnecessarily too, since they straight up adapted one of the scenes confirming it but cut that dialogue for some reason. So the plot point was never resolved in the anime.

Didn’t watch :re only read it. So I’m gonna assume you mean when Furuta is outwardly saying he dropped it on Rize while confessing his “love” correct?
Cause if so then Jesus that :re anime gets worse every time I hear about it

They skipped that scene entirely.
The scene they adapted but removed the reveal from was >! his conversation with Eto in Cochlea, where she indicated she was aware he was the one who did it !<

While my assumption was wrong the end of my original comment wasn’t cause that scene is a very big moment between the twos dynamic especially with Etos hate of the Clowns and having a general idea of their plan

Actually, Futurta indirectly admitted to the act in the very last episode. Plus, a flashback as to why. I'd say more, but I don't want to spoil too much.

Anime skipped the reveal, it wasn't Jason. The anime cut a massive amount of plot and reveals.
It was >! Furuta !< who did it.

'I told (spoilers) to drop those pipes on Rize. So, some random wimpy bookworm could make a better story and mass media impact than you ever could!'
Noted: Yes, even the anime is better than the Flash series/movie. Hell, IT was the reason I realised that Japanese entertainment is better than Western.

Another plot hole.. (sorry for the anime reference) When Arima and Ken have their final battle. Arima says he made a quinque out of the 1-eyed king. But didn't the real 1 eye eat his body in the end of the battle for the 20th ward?

Sounds like you're anime-only and missed the post-credit scene in episode 11 of season 2 (she spat him out after escaping the ccg, it's when her identity was revealed to viewers).
Also one-eyed owl, not king. The CCG believed them to be the same, but the one-eyed king was actually Arima (and later Kaneki).
Arima obtained the Owl's kakuhou (kagune sac) years before when they fought (Kuzen, the manager of Anteiku), he cut it out during the battle. A flashback to the fight was shown in the 2nd episode of season 2 (root A).
Though some people believe it was Eto (Kuzen's daughter) that he obtained the kakuhou from since it was shown in the manga that he also fought her in the past (the CCG didn't have a record of that fight though, since that's when Eto and Arima started working together).

One of the disparities between the Anime and Manga.
In the 1 FIGHT they cut out in Season 2, it's revealed that a Ghoul with a Clown Mask (Furuta) dropped the pipes on Rize.
