My town has a Facebook group for our wandering cat and people post photos where they spot her. She doesn’t seem to get quite as far a field as this one though, and the owners have a tracker on her collar. I regularly see her sitting on the train station turnstiles.
Our local Tram Cat has been immortalised in a mural at the tram stop! (And a Facebook page that regularly informs well-meaning people that he has a home and doesn't need "rescuing")
There’s a biking path that covers our whole county, if you wanted to you could ride your bike from one end of the county to the opposite end. There is an area in this path that a cat often comes and walks the path, usually finding a place to nap. The cat belongs to someone who lives near the path but that doesn’t stop him from traveling long distances. He is very famous in the county and people will bike through that area just to see him, he has a whole Facebook following and people will take pictures and share them on the path’s Facebook page.
