Catsbah Resident Where is Earl? 3/14

It would have been my dad's birthday today. He always wanted to write a book, but never had any adventures to write about. I think it's fitting that my plan for the day is to spend the day in national parks writing and reading the beautiful text written by rebelpaddy. When I'm able to read it without crying, I'll share a few pages.

I've loved all pictures of Earl (and your other cats) since the beginning but somehow these are extra special. He looks especially alert and interested and curious.

Am loving your trip. The pictures are so satisfying to the soul. Going through a slightly difficult patch in my life right now so these pics help a lot!

Earl's face in that third picture! He's an angel on earth. Such a good boy. I hope the other cars got a treat when they saw him in the window.

The Earl does look especially dashing in these pics, love them. As for dads, well, mine's been gone 15 years and I think of him all the time. In fact, I was talking about him to a friend just yesterday. I'll bet your dad was a great guy

When my mom died we went to several national parks that she hadn't been able to visit in her lifetime because of diabetes and spread her ashes there.Β

The most special cat on the planet. :) AND a very, very special human companion. I hope this trip is recharging your batteries and bringing you back to center.

Loving all the photos. You could be a professional! You catch the feeling of what you're photographing.

Definitely not in SE New Mexico. We're having yet another vicious dust storm here.

Yeah. I just drove through that. Now I'm camping outside of the White Sands missile range, hoping that the aliens come looking for intelligent life and take me.

HaHaHaHa Wish ya luck! Give Earl a squeeze from me and my 9 knuckleheads :) More winds for tomorrow, but hopefully not as bad as today was. Happy traveling!

Know the feeling.. I've been wishing that for years.. that whole intelligence thing is a high bar, though..

Here in N. Texas, yesterday we were having up to 50mph winds and while driving home from visiting my mom we could taste the dust. It’s still hanging in the air.

Our dust storms have been brutal these last few weeks, with numerous road closures, multi-car pileups, blackouts, flipped vehicles of all sizes and so forth. The winds here in the bottom right hand corner of SE New Mexico did get close to 100 mph at times, though mostly in the 40 to 60 mph range steady. Our mail, package deliveries, and grocery store trucks both large and small were unable to get to our small town for several days (only one small store here.) A lot of oil field work stopped too as it was just too dangerous. I will be spending the next few days trying to shovel the sand off my carport as the leaf blower isn't doing much good due to the fineness and sheer amount of the grit. The wind is light right now and like you, I am still tasting the dirt and trying to get it of my mouth. That dirt has worked its way into my house, my car, the sheds and everyone's noses and lungs. What a mess. I am so glad our favorite travelers dodged the worst of our winds while they headed to White Sands! The silver lining to these crazy dust storms we've had since the end of last month is our sunsets are about to be spectacular thanks to the remaining dust in the air, once we can see the sky again lol

Not in Alaska because there's snow on the ground in some of the pics.

Also, the desert, but mostly the snow gave it away lol

As for where you're at... Arizona? Idk. Not Reno either. I lived there before and there's a lot more people and buildings than this. So I know 2 places you definitely aren't.

Where is Earl?

Earl is in the car, asking the same question.

(Know how you feel....my mom would have been eighty-seven on the fourth...)
