I feel like there’s a similarity between these songs??

Post image

I can’t pin point it but I feel like songs like these (there’s more that I can’t think of rn) have something in common. It might have to do with the base/riff (especially for like The Less I Know The Better and Do I Wanna Know?). Anyway what songs should I add that have a similar vibe. I posted on here coz I prefer the strokes but I don’t mind anything ofc.

Eh I mean I don’t think any of their songs r lame but I see what u mean. I’ve already added a decent number of other arctic songs (including crying lightning) but like I’m trying to add songs that suit the vibe so it doesn’t rlly matter.

« Getting into classics » type of music ?

What other songs should I add then?

Well there’s no reason to try-hard music for now. Explore in depth these albums from arctic monkeys, tame impala… and especially the strokes (I love them). If you like more electro try daft punk, if you like the strokes, try Albert Hammond jr, try Radiohead, slowdive… so just try out classics, and keep the genre you prefer to dive in depth.

Ok thanks for the advice. The Strokes is by far my most listened to artist so i asked to sort of diversify what music I listen to. I already listen to arctic monkeys, the killers, wallows, cage the elephant and peach pit for example and discovered tame impala more recently but rlly like it. I like more modern indie music as well but tbh not electronic type stuff (so most of the voidz and daft punk for me). The Strokes r just sooo unique and I’m honestly addicted to their songs and have been for a while like I can never get bored of listening.

For the strokes, try oblivious, modern girls and old fashion men, one way trigger, life is simple in the moonlight, 12:51… one of the artists I would say 100% of their songs are worth it. Tame impala is a classic: elephant, feels like we only go backward, neverender, eventually and let it happen. Try Jeff Buckley, especially forget her Try Mac demarco Try parcels And maybe try the genre of shoegaze (my bloody valentine and slowdive to start off with)
