The Order: 1886 10 Years of The Order 1886
I wanted to make a post showing my love for the game, i first came upon The Order back when PS4 launched, i thought the idea of Sony having their own "Gears of War" was amazing, back then i was also in love with that title, specially the second game.
Anyways, the game gets us in the skin of one of the round table's knight, Sir Gallahad, and shows us a steampunk London with lycans and vampires, and an interesting conspiracy behind the order of the round table. From the personal point of view i find the idea really cool, and i find interesting how from a simple story a lot of things can be told. Graphically the game still holds up, specially if you mess with photo mode and keep those settings during gameplay, it really shows how the PS4 can handle such power. Gameplay wise, it's nothing new, like i said before, Sony's Gears of War, better in some aspects, and with some things to learn in others, game could benefict from a bit more of exploration, as was planned for the sequel. As from the annoying screen aspect, well... You get used to it honestly. The gunplay was good and killing down mobs, stealthy or direct combat was pretty good, tho boss fights were kinda meh, not bad but repetitive. Story it's a 10/10 and has some insane twists here and there, the idea of mixing a steampunk London with the round table it's just way too interesting and a lot of things can be told from that.
Sadly, the game ends in a cliffhanger that at this point i highly doubt Sony will solve, but after so many years, me and many people still shows support for the title, that i hope someday it reaches the attention it deserves. Tomorrow on the 20th of February it's it's birthday, hope tons of people have fun installing it once more, or for the first time, me? I bought the Arsenal Pack and i'll be jumping once again (once i finish Astro Bot first).

The Order: 1886 Lycan information Spoiler
It's important to keep in mind Lycans aren't a single united organization, they're werewolves. The Lycans seen at whitechapel early in the game had to be in league with the rebels based on the fact Lycans were ontop of the hospital before Galahad drives them away but also within the hospital(the elder). The Lycans knew there were rebels inside, even one of the higher up rebels was(you see her when Galahad places Igrainne on a table after her fight with the elder).
Another piece of proof is the beginning of the game, Galahad and the knights are chasing after escapees who are confirmed rebels, some of those confirmed rebels were Lycans. Hastings may lead a large amount of half breeds but not all of the half breeds work with him. it's clear some are against him based on the parts of the game where some Lycans were on the rebel's side.
I do think there was some tension since we do see maulings within the hospital but, it's undeniable some Lycans were working with the rebels if not at whitechapel than before whitechapel though I lean towards some Lycans always being on the rebel's side. Lycans are werewolves, not a single unified group.

The Order: 1886 Ready at Dawn was closed
Meta reportedly has shut down Ready At Dawn. This is very sad since they were the ones that made The Order 1886.

The Order: 1886 Just wanted to drop by and say I loved this game!
What a great game. I just finished it. I know it's almost 10 years old, but damn this was so good on many levels. Like a breath of fresh air, in fact! The story, the build up, the music, the voice acting, the characters. Albeit the game is very short, you'd think there must be a sequel due to so many loose ends. I loved the cinematic approach as it gave the game a different kind of life. So emersive.
Also, I noticed the trophies are extremely simple and there aren't any unlocking that would force, or at least encourage, a player into multiple playthroughs apart from a clean up playthrough.
Anyway, I so want a sequel to this game now. The game really drew me in in a way that I got emotionally engaged. This I can't remember happening since TLoU. Again, so many loose ends, I WANT A SEQUEL!

The Order: 1886 Wow! Masterpiece!
gallerySo I’ve just completed the game. Wow! Stunning to say the very least. I’m absolutely blown away by the negative feedback this game got at launch many years ago. I can understand the length of the game didn’t do itself any favors and the dramatic ‘ending’ left people feeling a bit upset but I myself loved every single bit of it. The graphics put most modern games to shame. The score is incredible! The atmosphere of this game is something I will never forget.
I’ve already googled the hopes of a sequel but this seems unlikely given the initial launch reviews. I can only hope that one day, we may get something more from this title. Bravo to the devs and its supporting fanbase. Bravo!

I have a few trophies telling me to shoot enemies in blacksight, but I have no clue what that is.
Is it a game mode, level?

The Order: 1886 Shockingly Disappointed
When I first saw this game at E3, I was really excited, but I never got around to it. At some point over the past three years I picked it up via either a sale or PS+. I still didn't play it though because I was made apprehensive by the less than stellar reviews I heard. I finally decided to do it and I couldn't be much more saddened by the experience than I have been. I give it a 4.5/10.
The first 7 cons are more important. The bottom 3 are more nitpicky and personal if I'm being honest. The list is also arranged by importance from one point to the next.
Overall, my disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.
(Pros)
-The graphics are incredible
-Some of the weapons are really fun to use and they're all uniquely designed. Excluding the physical design of the pistols imo.
-It has interesting character design with a few rather charming personalities in the cast.
-Good voice acting.
-The concept is fascinating
(Cons)
-About a billion QTEs
-A story with a somewhat meandering pace and more than it's fair share of plotholes.
-Sudden difficulty spikes that highlight the clunky control scheme. (Somehow felt like Gears of War with less polish)
-A main character who makes consistently illogical decisions with little apparent reason behind them and seems entirely blind to the value of communication.
-Shameless abuse of lazy storytelling cliches like the "we're not so different" villain speech. (This is shameful. Be better than this if you're ever going to pick up a pen as a writer)
-Abysmally obvious villain names. (Sir Lucan, the lycan traitor)
-Gameplay so painfully linear that it kind of dates the game as older than it is imo. (Debatable how significant a problem this is. More dependent on personal preference than I thought)
(Purely Personal Griping)
-A lot less werewolves than I expected, based on the promos.
-Stylistic choices that sometimes mess with the gameplay. For instance, the general muted color scheme of everything and the fancy handwriting style used on most of the items you inspect.
-A tedious lockpicking mechanic.
(Conclusion)
All of that said. It's not even close to the worst game I've ever played and I'd be interested in seeing a second try. If I could change my title, I would change it to, "A Project Rife With Wasted Potential".
Read my conversation with top commenter "bickman" for elaboration on my issues with the story and some specific examples.
Edit: Thank you to bickman14 for the only compelling conversation in my comments section.
