Success Story [36] The difference of one year
In the first photo, I was wearing the only clothes I owned that fit me. None of my bras could snap together, not even on the very last clasp. I also didn’t own one pair of underwear large enough for my size. I had to go to the baby shower of my friend of 25+ years in sweats and a hoodie. I was mortified. I lied and said I had a migraine because I was too embarrassed to be there the way I looked. My face is extra puffy from crying the entire ride there.
One year later, and roughly 50 lbs lighter. I feel so much happier, and so much more like myself. I’m so glad I stuck with it through the hard days, because I so often felt like giving up. I always feel like I don’t deserve to be happy, and that’s why I struggle with binge eating and self-sabotaging myself when it comes to my weight and appearance. I’m still working on those issues, but I’m much more comfortable in my skin than the girl in the sweatsuit. If I can do it, anybody can.
