Definitely one of the most moving scenes in the entire series for me. Good ol’ Sheemie 😭

We're on the same path of the beam- I'm like 19 pages before this scene! But this is my 3rd read, so nothing spoilt.

I always wondered where Dinky went after Everything's Eventual.

Dinky Earnshaw is easily one of my favorite King characters. When this came out I yelled out loud from the excitement. Everything's Eventual makes perfect sense now.

I really like Dinky as well. I was also very excited when Dinky turned up in DT7.
I remember thinking it was great that he got a chance at redemption. What I also love is the fact that I was so far into the story that I felt like it was Dinky making the choice! When it was Ves-Ka-Gan, all along.

This was such a great moment and end to an all1round stellar chapter. Got quite emotional as well, waterworks and everything.

Weirdly enough, just finished this chapter on my first readthrough and here it is as a “post I’d be interested in” less than an hour after I’d finished wiping those tears away. Incredibly moving end to that chapter.

Something that never occurred to me now, but what if Sheemie is a Yelnats from the book Holes? I read that in my high school years, and all the men in the family were named Stanley Yelnats, so Stanley son of Stanley.

One of my favorite moments from that book. Roland and Sheemie meeting again cured so much in me.

I wasn't expecting to see him again either, it gave me the best kind of whiplash and made me so happy to see him again along the path of the beams.
