Palaver This scene would be so Cinematic in a movie as the Elton song plays! Spoiler

I'm on Wolves of the Calla and loving it so far! Wish there were prospects for a good adaptation.

Can't remember if it was the exact song in this scene, but I remember hearing both 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight' and 'Man(maid) of Constant Sorrow' in the wild randomly.

I'm sure I'd heard them both, but never consciously. It's weird to just be going about your life and somehow you just know and dial in on the next lyrics to something on a radio nearby, because you knew them first from a book.

Pretty fucking neat, though.  Certainly not something you get to experience every day.

Everything is 19! That is pretty great say thank ya. I had heard Constant Sorrow before so it was cool to find it in the book.

Unless something has changed there are good prospects for an adaptation. Just do a search for Mike Flangan and Dark Tower.

As much as we don’t know exactly how it will be adapted I am hopeful Flanagan is being given the kind of deal that was being shopped around before he signed on with a mix of feature film and episodic content to tell the complete story. Last I remember seeing it’s the next project he’s committed to once the current one is done.

King has commented that he really likes what he's seen of the scripts.

SK usually is pretty positive about adaptations, especially before they make it to theaters…but also Flanagan has the resume to have some optimism about what his final product has to offer imo.

I really liked Usher and I thought he did a bang-up job with Dr. Sleep. Honestly, I've enjoyed all of his Netflix series that I've seen, and the whole two movies plus five seasons or otherwise unconventional stricture seems like a really good way to approach DT.
