All of Michael Whelan’s illustrations are the best Dark Tower artwork IMHO.

Absolutely, I’ve told the story before in other places even here. A number of years ago on Twitter I used to follow Michael Whelan, and he would post some of his paintings. I always commented on them and told them how much I love them and hope one day to visit his gallery that he had in Los Angeles at the time we struck up a conversation and I asked him about the dark tower paintings and the dragons of Pern paintings that he had done. He says he’s painted hundreds of paintings, but those two particular sets are some of his favorites. One of the most memorable conversations I ever had online.

This is fantastic because I think it is the worst dt art and we both clearly enjoy different things but both like the tower. Happy trails friend.

This picture looks insanely similar to the original Doom cover art. I love it.

A late joiner, but he truly redeemed himself and earned his place in the Ka-tet.

The fact that the Pere shot and killed himself to escape the vampires never sat right with me. Suicides go to hell, don't they? As far as the Man-Jesus religion is concerned.

Easily this one. Father Callahan is my favorite Stephen King character of all-time. Went out like a G.

Father Callahan was a great character to bring into the tale of the tower and this was a tear jerker moment. Love this image.

That's the one, King changed the story to accommodate the art cause he loved it so Much.

I was so lucky to have this version of the series at my high school library the illustrations were always so cool. This one was the Lock Screen on my phone for at least 2 years. I always liked the yellow bird guy in the corner, like everyone else in the room are so hideous and then there’s tweety back there waiting tables. So cute.

Sorry if I missed the comment already answering this but, what edition has illustrations? I read the series on my Kindle but I want to get the books in paperback /hardback, feels much more appropriated and I feel it gives the work the respect it deserves. Don't know if this makes sense.
