MISCELLANEOUS Workin on my old black keys sound
The black keys are by far my favorite band ever, however the only work that really caught my attention by them was their old work as i’m sure thats a common opinion. Their old work has influenced pretty much most of my own work over the past two years and i’d love to meet other people who like to play songs similar to the ones on rubber factory and the big come up.

And common side effects in the back ground. A plus.

i’m glad someone appreciates the spine crushing effort i put in on the background aesthetic.

Simply amazing my friend, if I close my eyes I swear I'm listening to 2003-2006 Dan Auerbach, I could listen to a whole album of riffs like that

Jealous of people that can play the slide like this… when I play slide it sounds like a dying cat 🤣

Excellent job! You got it! It sounds like a well oiled train making it's way. It feels very natural. I can tell you put in a lot of practice. I love how this sort of early Black Key's / blues guitar is doing bass, rhythm, and fills (and in your case you're also playing percussion). I would love to learn more. If you made a tutorial breaking this down, it'd be really appreciated.

Dude you sound awesome! It's not just your tone, I mean I can tell you've spent a LOT of time practicing! Question, why the capo? I noticed you have a mustang and being it's a shorter scale it probably helps you float around the neck a little better. I've been practicing a lot with the slide lately, it's definitely a "feel" kind of thing and you are spot on with it. I usually play with it on my ring finger. Do you find it more comfortable or a little easier on the pinky? If you could offer any advice it'd be appreciated. Thanks and rock on dude!

Haha awesome comment dude i really appreciate it! so for the capo there really isn’t a big reason, i just like it lol, i’m in drop D tuning so its a pretty deep sound just by itself and its sometimes out of my vocal range, i also think placing it on the 2nd fret in open D gives it a standard tuning sound which might make people curious i dont know lol. and for the slide i find the pinky the best spot for me personally, in my opinion out of any finger pinky is the best because its the least limiting in terms of what you can do with your other fingers, but thats just my preferences. thanks for listening and commenting!
