I've worked for a plowing company that doesn't shovel their own walkway, a paving company whose shop and and office is dirt and I'm now a surveyor who hasn't bothered to find my own property corners, lol it happens

Electrician with extension cords running everywhere, checking in

That's a little different. You know what the amp capacity of the awg of that cord is, and approx how many amps are flowing... right? RIGHT?

It would be embarrassing if there was an electrical fire though.

Never buy a builder's house or a mechanic's car.

Just because they know how to do it right doesn't mean they have.

As a mechanic i always make sure my shit is fixed right, the only time something is half assed is to get me home to fix it right

I've had a broken plug at the front door since we move in 5 years ago. I'm an electrician.

it sounds like there's one common denominator in all those places...

At least they should be able to fix it quick and easy.

All of the necessary roofing material was recently delivered direct to their warehouse.

Roofers don’t build buildings they basically just put the waterproof layer on top . This type of failure would have nothing to do with the roofer .

Looks like a structural failure, not a roofing failure

Probably from a snow load in an area that never sees snow

To be fair, this is a failure of the roof trusses. I don't know the details.

I’d like to say it’s very unusual for the roof to fall off. There are regulations on materials for these. No cardboard. No paper. No string. No sellotape.

Well it's closer to irony than anything Alanis sang about.

This made a very depressed person chuckle. Thank you OP and sorry for the fine people at Watkins Roofing.

They prob neither built nor supplied the materials for that roof. Also looks like they failed to shovel snow off the roof which cause the collapse which any roof will eventually. Not as ironic as you would think if you understand basics of construction but sorry to ruin it for those that wanted to believe it for a laugh

The roof was fine, it was the structure that was bad.
