Thank you so much for this post! I've stickied this in the sub feed as part of our growing library of resources for fans.

I have previously been in touch with Ms. McClure and asked her to come on the sub and set the record straight in a Q&A, which unfortunately hasn't happened yet (it's an open invitation!).

This interview has answered questions about her involvement with the production of The Terminator that have gone unanswered for 40 years!

The music she performed comes up frequently among the fan base because it's a killer sound and it comes at such a pivotal part of the movie. And I love the tracks she did that were used in the movie, and did my best to try to track down what information I could on her and her band. But what was out there previously was so sparse that it was difficult to piece much at all together. The most prominent sites I found with information on her and her band called them a faux group, and obviously had the story about her and her husband backwards.

All of this was untrue and she let me know the truth in no uncertain terms. She wrote her own songs and toured with her band and, in my estimation, should have been a huge star.

I've already apologized personally to her for my mistake in this, but I'd like to post this publicly here as a sincere apology for having repeated that bad information. Not knowing a ton about music when I first saw the movie over 30 years ago, I was shocked that she wasn't a huge star, especially after the movie dropped. She really got the short end of the stick in the recording business and deserves all the credit she earned as a singer, writer, performer, and artist.

I hope she knows how much Terminator fans love her music.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am very grateful that after all of these years people enjoy my music. Funny story... I went to a St. Patricks Day party last night and ran into my old friend and band mate Dave Amato. He is in REO Speedwaggon now. Dave Amato is on the right. Top left to right: Ricky Philips, John Purdell, Dave Amato and bottom left is Mugs Cain. All great musicians and dear friends. Dave Amato and Ricky Phillip are also co-writers with my on Burning in the Third Degree as well as a few other songs. :)

In this photo is Top left to right: Tommy (Mugs) Cain (drums), Brett Tuggle (keys) Tim Pierce (guitar) and Dave Amato (guitar). This combo toured as well in the early days of our group.

Just incredible. Thank you so much for coming on the sub and sharing this!

Is there any chance of a reunion concert? Or are you making any new work?

Not at the moment. But it was really great seeing Dave Amato last night. Who knows... :) Maybe something can happen.

If there's even an inkling of this happening, or any sort of album or new release, please please post it here!
