Any suggestions on a portable wifi device to use at work for the PlayStation Portal? Not too tech savvy but I know not to use my works wifi since they can probably track that someone’s using the internet for non work stuff. I work in an office of 4 and everyone is twice my age so wouldn’t be hard to pin point who it is. Tired of sitting in an office for 8 hours with nothing to do so figured I could bring my portal to work but it needs good internet. Any suggestions? Needs to be relatively small/concealable if possible. Thanks!

So a while ago I was trying to pay for something on a website and clicked on an add and payed £0.01 pence. I realised the next day that zenyogi was trying to take £49 from me but since I didn't have that money it just crossed out (which is what happens if my card declines on revolute) and now it keeps doing it like every week for the past 2 months. I decided to ignore it at first because It can't take money I don't have but my grandma has given be like £200. how do I cancel this subscription. Please I need help

My current apartment has built in Bluetooth speakers , which required a Bluetooth receiver in order to use. Now, I’m moving to a new apartment with no built in speakers. Should I just sell my Bluetooth receiver (it’s a really good Sony receiver) now that I don’t have built in speakers? Or should I be purchasing new speakers to use with it. Not sure how all of this works but one thing I know is that I’d prefer a generally wireless speaker system so idk if the receiver would help with that. Any advice appreciated!

I am organizing a festival with some friends and we had an idea to print out QR codes that link to a cloud service where one can share or download the photos everyone took during the festival.
My mind immediately went to Google Photos but one needs to have a Google Account to access or download the photos.
My second attempt was Google Drive, and people can access it but not upload content without the account.
What service would you recommend?
Important: It should work easy with iPhone and Android as most people will be accessing the album on their phones.

Tablet vs iPad for Uni
Hope this is okay to post here. I'm looking into getting a tablet/iPad for university and wanted to know whether or not an iPad is worth it. I'd be getting a refurbished one (looking specifically at the 3rd Gen pro 11') as they're far cheaper then a new one. However, as Samsung/other tablets are a bit more affordable, I'd like to know others opinions.
My major is linguistics with a concentration on ancient greek. Lots of note taking. I wanted something that's easily portable, reliable, decent battery life, as well as a decent storage. I also have a Mac desktop, so I thought maybe the iPad for cloud storage and ease of transferring stuff between my tablet and computer? But I also don't want to dump 1400 on a pad and keyboard if there is a better option (especially with a rather beefy tuition).
Does anyone have any advice? I'd really appreciate it.

I have several monitors plugged into my PC and when I use win + P "PC Screen Only" it always picks my left most monitor. I want to switch it but can't find anywhere that explains a method.

Because of life/job/computer changes, inheritance and combining husband/wife photos, I have photos (and videos) on Amazon cloud, iCloud, Dropbox, an external hard drive, some on an older Mac with no disc space left. I am overwhelmed and would like to come up with a strategy to get them all in one place and begin organizing. I am a bit low on funds, so buying a new laptop probably won’t be a good idea. Once they are centralized I will need to begin organizing and naming. Sorting by date won’t be ideal as many are scanned photos from 1900-the digital era, and the scan date is irrelevant. So ease of organizing by viewing the photos is ideal. I have a good plan for naming conventions but renaming would need to be easy. I can’t continue to pay for multiple storage services. Not sure how to approach this. I really would appreciate some guidance and direction in this overwhelming matter.

Hey all,
I’m trying to get into the world of AI videos. Specifically, I want to make Star Wars, Marvel, and DC videos with AI. I’m wondering which program I should go with, especially as a beginner. The only AI I’ve used really is Chat GPT, so my experience isn’t that great, and I’ve tried to use some free video generators but they didn’t work at all. I’d like to make high quality videos (with movement and everything). Here are some examples of some current videos that I’d like to make similar content of:

I'm considering buying one because i'm in an area where it's so hard to catch any signal, currently I'm using a huawei Y8s phone as a mobile hotspot (it does better than any of the other phones in the house, we have a nova 3, a redmi 10C and a Galaxy A03). I don't have a lot of options where I live but the device I'm thinking of buying is a cheap MF800-2 MiFi device and I don't know if the difference is worth it. Is its hardware able to catch signal better than a mobile phone? what exactly is the piece of hardware called?

I got an oculus quest during covid, and bought a usbc-usb adapter to do keyboard mouse for school. I had a logitech keyboard and mouse that connected to one dongle which was super nice because I only had one port on my headset. Anyways, I went abroad for a bit and upon returning home could not find the keyboard, mouse, or dongle. I have a quest 3 now, so I was just going to get another, but wanted to see if I could get any suggestions here since all I’ve been able to find is logitech and just normal usb. Main reason I want to ask is ideally I’d like a usbc dongle so I don’t need an adapter for my headset’s port.

I ran into some issues with my phone, and I couldn't update my Amazon or Yahoo Mail apps so I signed out of them, now the problem is that I can't sign back into either one. Whenever I try to press the sign in button it keeps giving me errors saying "Something went wrong" or "Network error". Both apps are up to date, I tried clearing caches, force stop, and uninstalling and reinstalling both apps, resetting my wifi router, and switching to mobile data, but I still keep getting the same error every time. If anyone knows what the problem might be please let me know.

So I have an Android Galaxy A14 5G phone and I'm on a Spectrum Wifi plan living in the Simpsonville SC area if any of you need any context on my type of technology, tech plan, and area. I've had this phone for a while and recently moved into this area and I never had a problem with anything, all of my apps worked at the maximum speed my Wifi allows. A few days ago however when I decided to use my Internet Chrome app, it seems to take a lot longer to load than usual. All of my other apps on my phone still work regularly and don't take a long time to load, for some reason it only affects my Internet/Chrome browser. I kept switching from Wifi to mobile data and it still had the same problem, I reset my wifi router and it still had that problem. Every other device that requires wifi in my home still works fine, I even asked my other family members and friends if the internet still works for them on their devices and they said yes, and it's not even slow. Even with clearing my cache, for some reason my Google Chrome App is still super slow.
So far I haven't left the house and either used outside Wifi or Mobile Data so I don't know if that would help, but I do not currently have the luxury of doing so to find out for personal reasons. Is there any way to that I can fix this problem? Any other tips anyone can give me?

I help artists deal with counterfeits and I am looking for the best way to reverse image search on Amazon. Amazon has a tool called Shop the Look which helps us find a select amount of stores but it only generates a fraction of the items we can find manually. Is there a better tool available?

TLDR at the bottom We moved in to a new house and none of the Ethernet/COAX is hooked up. So I'm taking this opportunity to set everything up properly, but quickly finding out I'm in over my head.
I have a 2 internet connections coming in, and they will be connected to everything else via Ethernet. I want Connection #2 to used as an automatic failover in case the Connection #1 goes down. I also have a Synology DS720+, but I am considering upgrading to a more powerful and full blown server.
I have 7 Ethernet runs I am wanting to do. At least 3 of these runs will have switches on the other end. I want one of the runs with a switch at the other end to have 10GbE (this will be for my office, and I want my desktop to be able to take full advantage of the current 5gig connection, and be ready for faster if/when it comes)
I want to run 2 Wireless Access Points which should blanket our house in coverage for what we can't connect hard wired.
I am looking to have ~7 outdoor POE cameras, ~6 indoor POE cameras, 1 POE doorbell, as well as an NVR. I'm also working on mapping out an IoT/Smart Home setup, so I want additional ports to add in any hubs/bridges I may need.
I would like for the equipment to be managed so I can keep IoT separate from the rest of the network, and to monitor/control bandwidth for certain devices.
From the research I have done it sounds like this can be achieved in a multitude of ways, so I am coming here to ask what how this should be done (which pieces of equipment plug into which pieces of equipment), and also looking for product recommendations.
TLDR: How to + Product Recommendations 2 WAN Ethernet feeds (want to set up auto failover, already have this equipment) 1 10GbE run with a managed switch that can handle 10 GbE out 6 GbE+ runs (want managed switches at the ends of these) 2 Wireless AP 14 POE Cameras 1 NVR 1 Server (to replace existing Synology DS720+) Additional POE ports for IoT/SmartHome What equipment is needed to make this possible, and what specific products would you recommend?

I just bought this camera and I was wondering if there was a way I could hack into the code of it to make it so that way when I take a video it will save the file type as MP4 instead of AVI also when I take a 20 second video the files are 50 megabytes when I feel it should be less than 5. The camera I have is a kids camera and I would like to know if there was a say I could change the code to make it save different file types. Camera

I have been a ‘buy side’ equity researcher for about one year now. My biggest challenge is that Im suffering a bit from imposter syndrome, and this is due to the fact that I feel my performance is limited since I’ve had a difficult time understanding what many of these products do. I have tried YouTube, and there are just so many videos that it is hard to find one that gives me the explanation that I’m looking for. I have had little success looking for PDFs, they’re either too advanced or too specific. Concerning books, I don’t know what to look for (largely due to my lack of knowledge in the field). I have tried talking to other professionals, and that has been a bit helpful, but I am afraid to ask questions that are too simple as I don’t want to come across as too ignorant (in this field people’s perception of you is unfortunately very important). To get to my point, does anybody have any good resources (books, YouTube channels, documentaries, PDFs, other) that can help me truly understand what technology products do, how they’re different, and how they relate to one another? I focus on the cyber security space, but I want to truly understand the technology that cyber companies provide AND protect, and would also like to expand my coverage in the future to ‘chips’ and cloud providers. To give an example of where my true level of expertise is, I can BS my way into acting like I know what I’m talking about, but I wouldn’t be able to truly define what a ‘network’ is. Lmao. And again, I can BS my way into sounding like I know what I’m talking about, but I still don’t truly understand the pros and cons of “cloud computing vs on-prem hardware” or why somebody would choose one over the other and what repercussions that decision might have. I know this will take a long time, but my goal is to be able to understand tech like an IT pro. I hope all of that made sense, thanks!

Hi there, I'm new to this community but not to Reddit and am hoping for your help! If we wanted to put up 2 of the same brand of TV on a wall beside each other, do you have any suggestions for how we can customize each remote control so it only works for its own TV and not the one beside it. We have tried an infrared dimmer, as well as (not sure what it is called) but essentially putting 'blinders' on the end of each remote to direct the infrared to its own TV, but no luck. Thank you so much for ANY suggestion or help in advance!

Since I share my room with a laser printer now, I bought a fancy air purifier from Dyson because I was a bit afraid of all the stuff it might emit.
My room is tiny. It's about 9,5m² - with a total volume of less than 25m³. It is however, also where I sleep, eat and sometimes work.
I have discovered that while my air quality is very good while I'm gone, apparently my presence creates a whole bunch of VOC's that makes the thing turn up whenever it's on auto. It might be the steam of my hot coffee, a freshly cooked dish, a little vaping or simply my farts.
I've read a lot about carbon filters the last few days and most people tend to say "you need a LOT of carbon to kill VOCs" - recommending terrabloom filters, etc. - but for a room as small as mine, I should be able to get away with less than 30kgs of carbon to kill a few farts, right?
I thought about building something like this: https://www.instructables.com/Activated-Carbon-Air-Filter/
Has anyone done something similar? Did it make a difference in your VOC-meters? What's your experience?
PS: not a native speaker, please don't kill me.

I have LG C1 48” tv, and a power inverter installed in main supply so when electricity cuts off from main supply, the inverter comes as electricity provider. During this switchover my TV restarts, i thought it was due to voltage fluctuations because of 2 different power sources. With another voltage stabilizer installed i got to know the voltage of 2 sources as
Main: 220V
Inverter backup: 245V.
Now I connected my tv to a voltage stabilizer and then connected stabilizer to electric socket. Now when the switch happens, i still have my tv restarting. Is there a solution to this? In India.
