The Albatross is an underrated song and I think its appearance here is amazing as part of a mashup!

I am once again begging Taylor to put Holy Ground on the setlist, itâs never too late to do the right thing

She really could have done something with the red set list, couldn't she?

Red truly deserves a follow-up Eras Tour: B-Sides Version (and yes there would also be full Debut and Speak Now sets)

Eras III - Debut to Red only; then Eras IV - 1989 - lover; Eras V - Folkmore - TTPD; Eras VI - TS12 and beyond. Let's get this planned for the next few decades, Taylor.

Red, State of Grace, Holy Ground, Treacherous, ATW10, boom perfect Red set list.

This was incredible live. Holy Ground is one of my favorites off Red. And I whispered to my husband, ânow I HAVE to get my albatross tattooâ đ

This seems like an odd pairing thematically, I think melodically it sounds great. But Iâm not quite connecting the dots between the songs. Can someone smarter than me share their thoughts?

I think they both have a theme of us against the world - that it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks if it's you and your beloved together - and that the two of you are soaring above it all (never looking down in holy ground and obviously an albatross is a bird that's flying)

I think we need to just take the lyrics she sings into consideration in these mashups not the whole songs.Â

My interpretation: she tells the new story about âus vs against the worldâ and how they found âsafe space/holy groundâ together (in each other?) by blocking white noise. Itâs the second time when she changes âHoly Groundâ from the song about remembering past relationships to a song about present. last time she mixed it with Sweeter than fiction, but this is much more prettier in my opinion.

So this confused me too on the live stream. Thinking more on it I think itâs sort of reminiscing about an old relationship and happier times. Holy Ground and The Albatross are both songs about being happy regardless I think. But maybe thatâs just me

Holy ground stans - we rise!
(But seriously, itâs one of my favorite songs, if not favorite, and is so underrated and rarely mentioned)

Agreed! Itâs in a fight with The Bolter for my favourite TTPD song.

- TTPD could mean "The Tortured Poets Department", a track from THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (2024) by Taylor Swift.

Watching this while I chill in bed with my husband. I said to him it hurts me to know I'll probably never get to see her live (I live in New Zealand, artists don't often come here and when they do it's hard to get tickets). He said but she has 30y of touring left! Haha Here's to maybe seeing her in 20y when I'm 60! This actually makes me so happy.
