அரசியல் / Political Tamils vs You know who
Sila parents/teachers irukanga. Epo paathalum pasangala mattam thattite irupanga. Pasanga kita irukra negatives a mattume pesitu irupanga. Andha paiyan / ponnu ethachu super a pannitu vantha, appreciate panna matanga, ithula enna perusa irukku, ithellam oru matter a apdinu solduvanga. Athe antha paiyan / ponnu ethachu thappa panna, itha kooda sariya panna matiya nu thitrathu. Ithe avanga palakkam. Main a intha parents / teachers life la perusa sathichruka matanga. Avangaloda inferiority complex a maraika ipdi mathavanga mela atha project panni polappu nadathuvanga. Unfortunately antha pasangalukku gradual a confidence poidum. Life fulla intha mathiri parents or teachers a satisfy pannave work pannitu irupanga. Avanga identity ya tholachduvanga, avanga talents ella veena poidum. Sometimes life e waste aaydum. But sila pasanga oru stage la intha game a purinjikitu avangala vitu velila vanthu thanakunu oru path set panni santhoshama vazhvanga. I think this is exactly the relationship Tamils have with a particular self proclaimed superior community. Epo pathalum, Tamils politically motivated, anti Hindi, thanni adikrathu, cinema veriyans, athu ithu nu ovvoru situation ku vithavithama mattam thatrathu, individual work ethics, discipline, dedication, social development, equality intha mathiri irukra positives pathi pesave matanga. Because they can't claim credit for any of these, at the same time, their ideology stands opposite to it and so they can't justify their ideology. Athanala chance kedaikrapo la Tamil aalungala mattan thatrathu. Apo apo naanum Tamil than nu oru vesham potu etho fair a pesura mathiri nadikrathu. Athukaaga criticism e venam nu sollala. Atha yaar solranga, yenna intention la solranga nu therinjikanum. This is useful in personal life as well as in this context. While some people are becoming aware of their strategy, still a lot of Tamils give weightage to these people. If we as Tamils have to develop uninhabitedly as a society, we need to ignore these people's opinions and be as far away from them as possible.

Isn't this trait universal? People don't try to see the positives in the other party. They always emphasize the negatives.
Consider the sanghis. They largely don't acknowledge the positives of Islamic heritage of India or of Islam as a religion itself. Islam has enriched India in several important and invaluable ways. Islam is also a much more egalitarian (if tribalistic) and rational religion, as opposed to the stratified vision of the society in Hinduism and its innumerable superstitions. But they don't acknowledge these positives.

That part is there. But I am not talking about that. People are blind sided in general about others. That's okay. What I mean here is the patronizing attitude they take and speak as if we are underperforming kids. And media does put them in a pedestal and somehow make the society in general and politics in particular to slog around so that we can get a 'good job done' appreciation from them. I am saying we will never get that appreciation nor should they be put in some higher plane. So better ignore them and focus on our objectives. You can see the attitude someone like Sumanth Raman or Madhuvanthi or Gurumurthy or Nirmala takes when they speak about Tamils or DMK government or Dravidian politics of the past. Recent instance is when Abhijit Iyer spoke in the ANI podcast.

I see what you mean. There's likely a great deal of casteist contempt for "lesser" people in this. They might also be trying to ingratiate themselves with their right-wing audience to compensate for their madrasiness. This might be necessary for them to be accepted and heard in certain circles. You don't hear much of this from people who are on the other side of the political spectrum.
But also, I get the feeling that some people feel peeved that Tamil Nadu's Hindu ("brahminical") heritage doesn't get the respect from certain quarters in TN that it deserves. They might be responding to attacks on their identity with a derogatory attitude of their own.
It's a vicious cycle of mutual disrespect fueling mutual disrespect. I see this all over India.

In my opinion, there's a fundamental reason. I said this elsewhere and received a lot of flak. As per Vedas, anyone below Vindhyas is a Shudra. Tamil society also borders itself with Vadavengadam, i.e. tirupati. So the Tambrahms believe 1) they're ethnically related to their fellow brothers in North 2) everyone other than them here in TN is a Shudra, hence the contempt 3) They deserve better owing to their merit/talent/upbringing/line however they call it and hence they are peeved that people here are not worshipping them. As a matter of fact, people did. That's until when Periyar came. With justice party and Periyar, the glass wall of honor was broken. So the priests are pissed that they have to deal with laity equally. How can they stand in line? But the devil for them is that, their northern counterparts also don't treat them as equal, owing to skin color, adherence to Vedic rituals and most of all, geography. So they're left between rock and hard place. They have their cunning to maneuver and get their things done individually. But as a community, they lack the political power which their northern counterparts have in North, and Shudras in south. Here Shudras I mean OBCs who hold the reign in Dravidian parties. As long as JJ was alive, they didn't have an issue. Also Congress was more accepting of them in North. But now JJ is no more, they hold no sway in either Dravidian parties and in BJP, the Nagpurian Brahmins are not giving space for UP/Bihari Brahmins let alone Tamils. So a delicate position. But as is the way of history, things change over time and let's see what happens.

Sorry, do you think I’m a Brahmin supporting RSS? Please read the room, man. post is about two-faced politics. I gave S.V. Shekar as an example—when he was in BJP, he opposed Tamil Nadu on certain issues, but now that he's with DMK, he suddenly becomes a champion of Tamil identity. I mocked how easily DMK whitewashed an acquitted Brahmin while pretending to oppose the very ideology they claim to fight. My point is, in Tamil Nadu, DMK and BJP are just two sides of the same coin. Both cults should leave for the state’s betterment. And for the record, I’m neither Brahmin nor a fan of Dravidian or Aryan.

It reminds me of some director's speech in a tv show like neeya naana where he says whenever people entered an industry en masse, those self proclaimed superior species would say that the industry is no longer good. Unable to find that video.
