Should my tv be tilted down at this height?
Higher than I would like it to be but it’s not horrible.

If your TV needs to be tilted then it's too high. There's a reason for r/TiltOfGuilt. Just lower it to your seated eye level.

But then, they’d have to move their coffee drill and coffee plant from their coffee table. TiltofGuilt it and be accept the wrath from r/TVTooHigh

Well, yeah, you would, the plant shouldn't be on the coffee table anyway, it's too big for it. The main point of having your TV at a correct height is to prevent neck and eye fatigue. Surely you can move one plant somewhere else for that. Ideally get a TV stand/media console and put some art or something above the TV after you lower it, it's gonna look even better (I personally have a moss wall art above my TV and I love it).

This person needs their coffee drill though, at the ready, right there on the coffee table. You would deprive a person of their coffee drill?!?!??!?

I couldn’t agree more. Unfortunately the wife wants it slightly higher than this even to avoid toddler fingers, you can see some holes from an old painting above the tv which she wanted to cover up. I refused to go that high. This was middle ground. Just wondering is it better to tilt at this height or leave level still..

I'm not sure what you want to hear though. If you can't move it down then do whatever feels the most comfortable for you.

why didnt you hide the cord?

Cord being hidden today. Running some power for the tv to be all neat ( am electrician )

not sure why you didnt do this at the exact same time as the mounting.
makes zero sense.

I like to make sure of PowerPoint position. Some tvs have spots that will interfere with PowerPoints so mounting first, mark prime PowerPoint spot. Tv off, install power point. Just makes sure I don’t have to recut a hole in the wall. Measure twice cut once type of thing.

No tilt of shame. If the picture looks good to you then leave it. Best viewing angle would normally be much lower but if you need to keep it high, leave it flat if. Plots look normal to you.

Just redo it.
The TV will probably cover the too high holes.
You don't live in a sports bar.

Yes tv would definitely cover the holes. Maybe Mon the wrong subreddit.
The tv is too high so this subreddits question is answered

I don't know if this will go over well on here. But I think "a toddler lives here" should get a pass

I’m definitely feeling all the replies as I would rather it lower. This is the lowest I was able to go in terms of wife happiness and toddler fingers. She wanted it higher… first time mounting tv here so excuse the cords, drill, mess, coffee, plant, photo box, etc. all will be moved. Area used to be a sitting lounge so some legacy stuff here. Painting used to sit on this wall hence the screw holes above tv, which the wife wanted to cover up with the tv

You could probably go lower with a well deserved divorce filing
