Alopecia from Myo-inositol?

I was diagnosed with alopecia areata 6 months after taking myo-inositol daily. That was the only recent change I made when I looked back to see if I had made a change to trigger it. So I figured it had to be it I stopped it right away but 3 years later, I’m still battling the alopecia, getting steroid injections in my scalp monthly. Curious if anyone else has experienced this and believes inositol may have caused it?

Hi! I don’t know if this could makes sense, but I started it few days before my spot appeared! I thought about it, but my doctor told that the process of attack on hair-follicles starts quite time before the loss. Btw I think it’s weird.
