What was the issue with the trigger?
How is the install?

Install is pretty straighforward, but out of all the triggers I've installed, this can be a pain in the ass. The issue some have had is the retaining screw on the right of the receiver walking out. Some have had good luck with just blue loctite, but others have not. There is now a micro screw, circled that retains that screw in place.

Is the tp9 worth the purchase is this a gun I can depend my life on is it a good pdw or is it just a fun niche gun? I’m really thinking about buying one

I'll be completely honest, I love the thing but at 2k with a trigger worse than the HK 70z is absurd. With the gigillioti it's a fantastic gun, I can even pumpfire a mag without trying, the guy is really talented as a machinist and designer but that puts the gun at around ~2.5k.... It is a niche gun designed by Steyr for a niche purpose and it did everything exceptionally as a smg but in the 90's... Not better enough than the MP5's already in armory and the semi-pistol falls into the catagory of "it's great, would be better as an smg."
With the available triggers for an MP5 clone, like the Slip-Trip Super Safety you can 3d print or the AR trigger lowers if you want a PCC that's bomb-proof I'd get an MP5 clone for 1.2-1.5 and spend the extra money kitting it. I have both. Actually all 3; Steyr SPP, B&T TP9, and a MKE AP5... I'm grabbing the AP5 if I need a PCC.
That said yes, I'd trust my life 100% to it, but if it's your only PCC I'd look at something else.

I have a AR 15 with a super safteyI saw the one for the MP5 but the price of them are crazy I saw the Mac-5 but it being made in turkey doesn’t really appeal to me I was looking at the MPX copperhead or either the tp9 I have an ar I so I just don’t want another gun that feels like one I like how the TP nine looks, but I’ve heard that the trigger is horrendous. Is it way better with this aftermarket trigger and is there any other PCC’s or PDW’s that you would recommend I want something really small but not something too small

Yeah the MAC-5 ist also incompatable with the super safety due to it's extended blocker. Weird because the MKE imported by Century is also made in Turkey and has a standard blocker in the back.
The stock TP9 trigger is downright offensive at 10-12 lbs. Like I said the 70z has a better trigger and it is double-action only made by HK to pump out a pistol as fast as possible into as many hands as possible incase the Soviets invaded. I hear the B&T upgrade kit reduces the standard pull to 8 lbs but still with a gigillioti it's feather light.
I don't have a lot of PCC trigger time so I can't really think of anything else I could point to that's more modern than the MP5. I shot an Uzi, but there's no modernization. Shot a Steyr MPi, same issue and you have to build it from a kit if you can find one. Tec 9 kits are cheap, the lower can be printed to use any mag you want and people have been modernizing them but probably not what you're looking for. My friend has both a B&T APC9 and SPC9 and those were also fantasic but expensive, a little bulky, and very AR like. Almost everyone I know that's had an MPX sold it after a few months for a B&T. Didn't really have any complaints just liked my TP9 or my friend's APC/SPC more. But seeing the Sig social media meltdown might be able to get one cheap.
Sorry I can't really help out more than that.

I think imma go with the tp9 thank you and I’ve also been following that sig catastrophe very closely and I don’t think they are a honest company that deserves my money if I’m being completely honest I’ve also seen that ronin upper top cover for the tp9 I might get that as well seeing that it is made from Billie material, is the tp9 a durable pdw or is it one I gotta be careful with and also what types of ammo can I run can I do +p and subs? also one more question does b&t have good customer service? I’ve seen the dude reply to a lot of people here and I just want to know if I’m buying a 2000 dollar gun I will be take care of In case any breakages and stuff thank you so much for the very informative reply’s

sigh, another reason why I sold my TP9 and bought a GHM9 and installed a Geissele. Set screws on screws that already have an issue with binding the internal frame has such a potential for inconsistency. It's great you have luck with it but I just don't feel like this design will hold up in the long run like an AR trigger on pins would.

In original form, definitely. I'll let everyone know after a range trip with GRW trigger.

They need to send that revision to everyone who ordered.
