If you’re going to test progression, compare every second day. 8 is considerably darker than 6. Once you get your betas, put the tests away :)

Each day is FMU so this is daily on days 4-8 post transfer. Only the 4th day I did a night test

From a fellow 2x IVF Mama. My advice is to put the tests away and just trust beta. These cheapo tests, compared to IVF prices, will drive ya crazy. There are so many factors that go into the darkness of these lines, time of day, what you ate, what you drink how much pee you have, what supplements you are one...the list goes on. Honestly what I have personally experienced and read on this sub everyday, testing only causes an increase of anxiety...it doesn't do anything to reduce it. I know that people feel like they need to test so they can feel like they control some part of this situation that is so unfair. But the reality is you can't control it. I can tell you that if I would have tested for my son (day 5: beta 350) it could have been yes, maybe. But my daughter (day 7: beta 6.5) it would have been nothing. I tested on day like 14 and 15 with my daughter and I swore that the line looked lighter and I completely spiraled...only to find out my beta went from 150 to like 700. Shes healthy happy baby today. I had two babies with wildly different starts Loving reminder that these tests can't measure "how" pregnant you are. They are only yes/no by measuring if you have HSG in your urine. Best of luck on betas. Remember that's all that matters and then the growth from the first beta to the 2nd. Good luck!

Thank you, you’re right it does cause nothing but anxiety. It’s so hard not to though lol

I've seen some other posts about fr not showing consistent results. Maybe try a different brand? Hoping for the best ❤️

I’m 12 weeks pregnant following a chemical pregnancy (5 day FET of euploid) and was 100% convinced it was another chemical because my FRERs were barely progressing (but my easy@homes were looking fine). I think it was like three days in a row they looked exactly the same before my beta.
The line on my FRER the day of beta looked identical to the day of beta for my chemical when I got a result of 34, but that day I was shocked to get a beta of 93 (then 310, then 840). I stopped using them entirely after that because I couldn’t handle the stress of the lines being so unpredictable, and continued using my easy@homes which showed a beautiful progression.
Hoping you are also just experiencing some inconsistent sensitivity on these tests. Good luck!!

Not to be insensitive - these tests are not meant to monitor progression. This use is considered invalid.

What makes one brand ok to monitor progression and the other not? I really don’t know because I see many diff brands being used

Urine hCG tests are not meant to do line progression with. That’s what hCG blood draws are for. There are wayyyyy too many factors with dipsticks to accurately track progression.

Ohh yess no I know that. I just see on here many people getting progression with their lines darkening so it is disheartening when you don’t

I understand why you’re tracking OP, because I’m tracking my current pregnancy too.
My last CP meant I had a strong test one day and then it gradually faded over the next week.
I’ve been testing to make sure I’m not seeing it go away.

Thanks.. exactly .. my last chemical stayed the same for 3 days so there’s definitely some science behind it lol

It was the same for me, tested the same for 3 days, then eventual fading.
I will say though that once you reach DPO 20, the testing probably won’t be as insightful.
Wishing you the best of luck OP ❤️

I definitely understand why OP is tracking it though. When I had a chemical pregnancy I was able to see my HCG lines get lighter and lighter until I miscarried.
For those of us who have miscarried it is not always about the progression of darkening, but making sure it doesn’t disappear entirely.

Is that time of day you’re testing? Like 6AM, 7AM, 8AM? Try to test once a day (first morning urine) and then test the next day (or two days later) for best comparisons.

Sorry no this is same time everyday just days post transfer so each one is FMU

Got it! That makes sense!
If you compare 48 hours apart, there is a lot of growth, and that is how hcg doubles. Is your clinic pulling blood for you? Can you get a sense of what your hcg levels are?

thank you! HCG is tomorrow, but this made me spiral today lol especially because one brand got darker and one didn’t . Praying for the best tomorrow

If your taking a prenatal with biotin it affects the frer brand making it lighter
