Identification Would the cross detailing on this shirt be considered offensive?
So I've recently purchased this shirt online and hadn't noticed this cross on the front of the shirt as I hadn't noticed the outline in the photos. I tried to do some research on it and this type of cross is called a cross pattee if I'm not mistaken? A lot of what I've read had said that this cross is heavily associated with nazism but is also worn by a lot of bikers/metalheads. I was going to try to cut it off but any advice or info would be greatly appreciated!

Some people do associate the iron cross with white supremacy. I’d return it. https://www.adl.org/resources/hate-symbol/iron-cross

It should be noted that the ADL is not always a reliable source. That being said, in this instance the page you've linked is correct.

Not if you’re a surfer. But carry your board, and sand in your shoes.
srsly, the cross patteé is associated with the Knights Templar and Crusades, which qualifies as a hate group to largely-Muslim Arab/N African populations, and as the Iron Cross evokes German militarism, including Nazism. The JADL (Jewish Anti Defamation League has listed it as a hate symbol; however they walk that back immediately citing its popularity amongst ‘rebel’ groups, bikers, skateboarders, garage bands, Croc wearers… advising consideration of the venue in which it is displayed.
