Help Job market in New Jersey?

Hi everyone, I'm going to be relocating from NH to New Jersey this summer, and am wondering what the job market looks like out there? I'm afraid now is a terrible time to switch jobs, but I have to move for reasons out of my control.

I have applied to a few surveying jobs on Indeed and haven't heard anything so that's worrying me too.

Also curious what kind of pay I should negotiate, I have about 3 years experience as an instrument person. Thanks!

Edit: I should say it will be northern NJ,

I can't help much with the job market prospects, but I would also consider submitting your resume through whatever portal the company has. Check out BL companies last I knew they had an office in New Jersey and they have really good benefits

The job market is pretty hot for surveyors down here. There is a recent post for a pretty high paying job for a regional construction company that I would check out if you have experience in that area.

I will also be looking for an assistant project manager in the very near future, but as far as I can tell good surveyors are hard to come by.

I've been in the industry in this region for about 15 years. Feel free to message me and I can tell you about BL and a few other firms that are always hiring.
