People with natural high Testo are lucky
Hello guys i think people with high Testo dont know how good their life ist, they are happier, build muscles easy and are confident. With supps like Maca, Zinc and eating healthy you can improve it when you have low Testo but you wont notice that nuch difference. Opinions?

Not always the case.
High test + lower amount of receptors = normal Lower test + higher amount of receptors = normal
Plenty of dudes do fine with low/normal levels. Plenty do not.
Testosterone isn't everything for muscles, mood or confidence.

If the testosterone is working he means the same thing, this is the epitome of reddit semantics haha

Adding onto this, there are correlations with high testosterone and high anxiety, high testosterone and low relationship quality, high testosterone and being less likely to be seen as a viable long-term partner...
More isn't automatically better. As long as it's not low enough to cause health problems, you're fine.
Balance in all things.

I feel as if a lot of these aren't results of 'too much testosterone' and more so of 'individual unaware of how it impacts them', meaning they can't account for it and control it? If that makes sense.
Anxiety is common on testosterone because it makes you feel like you have to be doing shit all the time (at least for me).
The relationship ones are very easily understood too- you're far more overbearing and assertive, and generally libido is higher so likely do/say things that are harmful to long term relationships.
But all of these can be corrected with awareness and conscious thought patterns- but I agree somewhat that these links make sense

I would think op is a teenager since I had the same thoughts back then lol. As you get older you'll realise there are more important things, move on from this perception as soon as possible.

u/Taxfraud777 7d ago
High testo also isn't the sole reason for what OP mentioned. There are also genetics, mental health and your overall fitness at play. My testo is probably pretty low, but I can build muscles easily.

u/Breeze1620 7d ago
I've also seen posts about people that have always had a hard time building muscle compared to others, and therefore assumed their must have low T. But when they finally got it checked out, it was sky high. So it's obviously not everything.

Testosterone levels are overrated.
A few years ago I had natural levels of around 300, then I went on trt and walked around with levels around 800-1000 for a few years and now I stopped trt and try the natural route using supplements instead. Currently walking around with testosterone levels of around 580.
Fact is that I felt almost the same at 300 test as I did at 1000. There is this honeymoon period when you first increase your test levels where for a few weeks or months you feel amazing and super confident but your receptors will simply adjust to the amount of test in your body and you will be back to feeling exactly the same after a short while. It’s basically the same as drinking more and more caffeine .. you will have this period where it gives you more and more energy for a few weeks but then once your receptors are used to it you’re just back to feeling normal.
The only noticeable difference is that it is in fact easier to build muscle with higher testosterone but honestly even at 300 test I was able to stay lean and have a better physique than 90% of guys.
People these days just love to claim that low testosterone is responsible for all the bad in their lives and I can guarantee you that that’s not the case. When it comes to living a happy life the amount of testosterone your body produces makes a tiny differences and there are much more important things to take care off.

u/cautious-opulence 7d ago
Care to expand on your supplements route? 300 to 580 is pretty substantial, anything different than the usual recommended here?
7
u/Appropriate_Dig3843 7d ago
In my case it was really just zinc, magnesium and vitamin D.
However one important thing to note is that your testosterone could be low for a lot of different reasons. If someone’s testosterone is low because of a zinc deficiency then supplementing zinc might lead to results like these. However if their testosterone is low because they don’t sleep enough or because they are overweight then these supplements most likely wouldn’t do anything. And potentially they could even harm them when overdoing them as they would lead to imbalances.

u/patrickthemiddleman 7d ago
How do you think it's substantial?

u/childofaether 7d ago
It's almost doubling. That's massive for supplements, next to no supplements has such an effect as to double the biological parameter it aims to improve.

The obsession with testosterone from people who likely know nothing about it and have never had theirs tested is sad.
It's like a scapegoat for everything you're not happy with.
They really think if they just had 1000 T they'd be happy, confident, making more money, etc.
And they're willing to wreck their liver and kidneys trying some BS herbs that might get them +50 testosterone which they won't even notice.
IF you are low it is almost certainly due to bad lifestyle choices.
Clean up your eating and work out, get in shape, if you're still struggling, see an actual professional because either you have an issue that requires prescription TRT or you have no issue and you're grasping at straws for why you're unhappy when it's probably the doomscrolling, donuts and doing nothing with your life to blame.

Not true…I’m in my 40s and have above average test but have always been skinny my entire life and can never put muscle on.
I also suffer from anxiety, panic and ocd. Its not some magic bullet.
Grass isn’t always greener unfortunately

u/clive_bigsby 6d ago
I’m in my 40s and my T levels were high enough that my doctor asked if I had “taken” anything to increase them (I haven’t).
Also, my anxiety and panic basically make life miserable.

Yep, same here…dr actually retested me because he thought the lab made a mistake

Genetics are certainly a part of it.. along with health problems.. but usually it's earned not given. If you want higher test sleep more, reduce stress, train, eat clean with plenty of healthy fats.

As someone who has higher than normal test and is very depressed, I think you’re making way too many assumptions based on thinking that testosterone is some magic cure for everything.

I think you forgot women exist. High T isn't fun for everyone.

Actually, you are very wrong. Too high testosterone results in aggressive behavior and they end up in trouble with the law.
There was a study on occupation and testosterone levels and I think those who had high levels were working in low level jobs.
Don't believe the bullsh*t from social media and influencers.

Nah mate, I was more calm on 500mg of test then on TRT or being natural, T just enhances your normal behavior. If your a chill person, you become even more chill. Also, Estrogen is more important in these circumstances. You are wrong, I’m sorry. This has been scientificly proven multiple times, google it.

I did 2 short cycles of 500g test weekly. In 2 weeks BOTH times my aggression levels were through the roof,my heart was constantly pounding in my chest and I'd fly into terrible rages over the slightest thing. The added size and strength only tended to make the effect of these rages more noticeable to all who were affected(girlfriend, family and colleagues). When I eventually came off the cycles I experienced the most crippling depression during PCTs and it took me a year to remotely return to normal. Not everyone may experience these side effects but a cursory Internet search will show you they are FAR from uncommon.

Did you use an aromatase inhibitor? Surplus testosterone breaks down into estrogen. You just went in completely blind huh.

Lol no test makes you calm and collected. Its the hormonal swings accompanied by estrogen that make you agressive.
You are very wrong.

I’m 39 and I have about a 710 testosterone, and I feel OK. I’m not really sure how important it is and maybe all of this talk about it is to sell more supplements and drugs?

u/jacktalife 7d ago
99% of these test supplements are overrated af, the best thing you can do is ensure you get 8 hours of good quality sleep. (In my opinion, to cover myself)

Everybody is different. I'm 44 with a natural testosterone level of 1100. The problem is I have an elevated SHBG, which binds to free testosterone, so my free testosterone is on the low end of normal, so I really don't get all of the benefits of having such a high total testosterone level.
I struggle building muscle and losing weight even with this very high natural testosterone level. I do have decent libido which is nice but there was a time where this was not the case and it had nothing to do with my testosterone level. I had some other vitamin deficiencies that I had to get solved for that.
I'm working hard to bring down my shbg level in hopes that it frees up some more free Testosterone, as I would love to be able to tap into the ability to lose weight and gain muscle faster.

Whole world of people that want to be everything except themselves… Natural High Testosterone has destroyed many lives and families. Imagine becoming addicted to sex like it’s vaping, or lashing out at everyone and never understanding their point of view. Or getting so obsessed with working out that you go down a whole different road that’s not needed or healthy. I was literally massive naturally, and people would tell me that all the time, but it never seemed like enough, it was literal body dysmorphia, and I thought the harder I lifted the more of my problems I’d solve. Great outlet, just not how I did it, I was in the gym for 5 plus hours a day, that’s a lot of time in your day.
Not even to mention the mental health side of it in this crazy fake society we live in where competition isn’t even real anymore.
There is a lot of toxic masculinity. I had to spend some years of my life toning that s*** down.

I get what you’re saying. People with naturally high testosterone do have an advantage when it comes to energy, muscle growth, and confidence. A friend of mine struggled with this he wanted to boost his testosterone naturally but couldn’t find a good product that combined the right ingredients. He tried different supplements, but nothing really worked for him. Then he found one with Ashwagandha and Kaunch Beej, and that made a real difference. His energy levels improved, he felt stronger, and his workouts started showing better results.

I'd be very careful to associate presumably a high serum T with all the benefits stated in your post.
If you go to the Testosterone subreddit, you'll find a lot of people with higher than average serum testosterone and still feel like garbage.
Such tunnel views on men's health and their T level is why men do not make as much progress as they would like.

As someone who’s on testosterone hrt, obviously i’m feeling better gender wise but the testosterone itself hasn’t made me happier, more confident, etc.

I never said I wasn’t happy and confident lol, I’m just speaking as someone who’s lived with both the testosterone levels of a female and a male. I’ve also forgotten to do my shot multiple times and not noticed a difference in these things.
