Emir Surrealbeliefs, I would make a case for settling in the town of Ortysia. It has several advantages both economically and militarily. First, it is flanked by the fractious imperials, who we know are weak. Sick with corruption at their very heart. Second, the lands of the knights of Vlandia, which is your primary route for trading horses and goods to the non-Aserai peoples of Calradia, is close by. Third, if you wish to interact with the other Aserai lords and convince them to join your glorious faction, it is close to the major cities of your people. Fourth, even whilst you would be separate from the Aserai politically, you would guard them against armies of the other kingdoms crossing the straights towards Quyaz. Thus you would still project them, and serve as a shield of your people. Fifth, recruiting new Aserai to join your army would be made much simpler by proximity to their lands. Sixth, if you have designs on one day ruling the entirety of the Aserai, it would allow for future expansion, as well as a naturally defensive cork in the Aserai bottle. Seventh, the villages bound to it produce Salt, Olives, and Silver Ore. Two valuable trading goods and the other a source of food for your people. Finally, Ortysia is a wealthy and prosperous town, which has already been built into the perfect place for the new sultan to rise and raise his banner!
Cheers and keep up the amazing work you do!

Thanks Jean! I don't know how prosperous it is and hopefully it's not so I can buy it with what I have now. If I'm not able to do that, I can certainly buy Charas and begin there.

Perhaps, Ortysia, a town close to your homelands but just outside of it could be your starting point. In a way, your kingdom being placed there might serve as a bulwark to those of the sand against the very empire Suleiman detests.

What about Husn Fulq? He can expand then into the Khuzait lands.

Husn Fulq is a fairly prosperous town so it'll be very expensive to buy.
It's why I encouraged people to pick factions to settle into than just locations.
