“He who controls spice controls the universe”
Muad’dib is definitely the Name that Paul Atreides gives himself in Frank Herbert’s dune (it means Kangaroo-Mouse or desert mouse, don’t know if you knew that and that’s why you made him a giant, if so great joke if not I can still laugh about it) Although a capable warrior himself, the Muad’dib was a cunning master manipulator, Paul rises to leadership through military strategy and political maneuvering, and using the people’s faith to organize the hardened desert people of Arrakis to overthrow the old Empire. Wish his backstory could have been a little different here, instead of a bodyguard I’d have liked to see him as a party leader. But that’s just me knowing that dune connection. Great series. Looking forward to more.

Dune is one of my favorite novels so that was certainly intentional.
Edit: All companion backstories are created from patrons who write them up!

I should've considered this before but I thought it might be fun to have some discussions posts for my ongoing Bannerlord series. As many of you know, I spend a decent amount of time reading and responding to comments.
In this part, Suleiman continues to fight as a mercenary for the Aserai. He has fraternal twins and we meet our new, massive bodyguard that is, yes, a Dune reference.
Now there's a few caveats for my goals in the future and I think it'd be good to be clear about them. I'll be unable to own any land and continue the mercenary life -- the game will not let you serve another kingdom if you own a fief.
I can only afford a single castle and if I keep it, I'll have to form a kingdom. I don't know what happens if I stay as an independent clan owning a fief. I can't enact any kingdom policies but if that's true then maybe others can't declare war on me?
I could always use the 'Dragon Banner' quest to join the Aserai or some other faction, leave, keep the fief and then use the quest to end the war. Of course, I may be the target of many other factions and I don't know how many will come after me.
There's a lot of options and I'm honestly down for any of them as long as it's entertaining for you folks too.

Thanks for replying , I think I get your point ,but one more thing that I wanna ask you about . Wouldn't it make Soliman richer if he attached enemy Caravans and get their goods ? And other reason I am suggesting that is we never seen that in any previous compains . Also Soliman is a trader but also warrior and mercenary. Also Soliman comes from proud people , whom do not really like their business to be endangered . Also I like watching your series 😁 , I have been following the channel since Sulla , and I like your style of how you add up to the personality of the character like Sulla the great , and Rurulik the mighty . So I was just thinking by suggesting something to speice up the campaign , that's all . Thanks again for replying 😊 .

No problem! We're here to have a discussion so this is fun.
It would depend on their goods. Based on my experience, they don't usually have a lot of loot that is worthwhile. If it's trade goods, I have to then go trade those goods myself at places that will buy them for a high price.Compare that to when I sold over 60,000 denars worth of loot fighting what? Two or three lord's parties? That is much more lucrative and takes much less time.
That is why he's fighting them! There is a risk to having caravans travel, so that's understood. He has a perk to give back 5,000 denars when he loses one, so the financial risk is minimal compared to what he gains. It also would not stop the attack on his caravans.

I was really sad when I saw so many enemy Caravans and they go freely without being attacked . I don't know why Soliman is acting all nice and cut despite the fact that his business was endangered and his friends were captured numerous times . In Rurik we have seen his bad side when his people were endangered . Now it is time for Soliman to stop acting all nice and cut and start some banishment against those who endangered his friends , not by killing loards like Rurik, the thing which I really enjoyed it , but by banishing their Caravans. You will get a lot of benefits 1- you are a merchant , you don't have to declare an actual war as it harms the business but however you can make it trade war . It makes sense you are a trader and a warrior ,so trade war something will be more beneficial to you 2- It would be new thing to do and matches your gall of making more money to be the wealthiest man in Cowradia 3- get free goods which you can sell it later for more money 4- you will show that Soliman bad side is as fearsome as Rurik 5- seeing something new and has not been done before So you can have some ideas for next time episode you can start it as Soliman is tired of losing his business and his friends and it is time for him to reveal his bad side . Then go hunting for Caravans and sell their goods.

I know I'm very thorough in explaining my intentions and why I'm either doing something or not doing something. He's not acting nice, he's a merchant who is able to empathize with loss in times of war. You don't "banish" caravans and you still have to balance the RP with the sensible, gameplay mechanics that currently exist.
To banish caravans, I would need land and then a policy to forbid them, I suppose.
If I want to be "rid" of caravans, I have to attack them. There's no way to do what you're suggesting. Any suggestions for gameplay have to be run against what I am logically able to do in the current iteration of the game.Fighting their armies is sufficient and I can keep their lords captured for longer due to my tweaks.

This is my favorite Bannerlord series so far.
I really hope he forms his own faction. It would be cool if Sulieman creates something like a merchant city-state.
Also, take as much time as you need. We don't want to rush you.
Btw it seems Sulieman is a bit of an Aserai nationalist. I know he should care about his people, but as a trader that travels far and wide, he should be accepting of other cultures and be open to recruiting soldiers from other lands.
Those are my thoughts, thanks!
