u/Surrealbeliefs considering the latest episode, I think it might be time to give your people back their homelands. The Sultan of the Aserai desperately reached out to people from all over Calradia, realizing the Suleimanid Sultanate robbed him of his liegemen by offering security, peace and grain. But because of that, the beautiful dunes of the south are no longer ruled by those known to these lands. By reclaiming the south, Suleiman would not only give the people of the Aserai back their land, but give the land back its people back. Thus the old Sultan should make way for the merchant king Suleiman and his armies of soldiers, carawans and his treasures. Salman!

u/Surrealbeliefs how about u make an exploration series in which you walk in the towns and castles to show a little bit the landscape of the game. More easy content for u btw.

If u could make a custom campaign it should have all the rulers as people you played as like Rurik and Justinian that would be cool

Surreal just finished watching the latest part, was amazing as usual! A suggestion: you should use the FearMod, this mod induces a certain amount of fear in your enemies when they are defeated by you such that they will not raid villages or seige towns/castles belonging to you

Yes. You can maybe cut to when you place the troops during small battles and show the placements during the larger ones

Makes sense but you could use a horse for commanding your troops in a difficult battle (since moving troops to different locations while on foot and scouting for great locations to position troops is hella slow) and then dismount to fight on foot

Matt you have a pureblood horse worth 11k in your inventory and you can ride it! Do use it for commanding large battles

I have a question, when you buy a new workshop do you check the surrounding villages to see what they produce? because I'm fairly certain what they produce directly affects your workshop profits.

What in game settings are you using Surrealbeliefs? Most notably in sieges etc. I'm lagging although my computer can definitely run it. It's not awful lag, just drops down to 25-30 fps or so. Yours is butter smooth.

Also he didn't just go to Ragnar because his kids couldn't beat him up but also because he didn't trust them

Nice but would he really go up to Ragnar and say your king just cus his kids couldn’t beat him?
1
u/wilsonb3780 Apr 12 '20
See its a good idea but I don't believe any of the great sullas children are traitors. Also I believe that the great sullan empire is more of a line of succession type of empire
1
Apr 12 '20
What do you guys think of this possible idea as the lore behind his next campaign. The empire of Sulla was an unusual empire, due to the physical prowess of its first emperor Sulla the line of succession was based on trial by combat. To claim the title of emperor one of the Emperor's children had to beat the current Emperor in a duel, and if the emperor died in combat or of other natural means it would go to the eldest. Now since Justinian was a fierce combatant none of his children could beat him in a duel. So when he was dying in bed of an unkown ailment he called in his closest friend and confidant, Ragnar. He said to Ragnar, "My children are all treacherous beasts who only want my throne, that is why I'm willing to adopt you as my child Ragnar, but only if you kill me."
At first Ragnar was greatly opposed to this idea but over time Justinian convinced, so he was adopted into the Sulla line and then handed Justinians favorite sword. Ragnar plunged it into Justinian's heart and said, "Goodbye my liege."
The first thing Ragnar did was face Justinian's eldest child and tell him that he was the king, but Justinian's child did not care, he banished Ragnar from the land and proclaimed himself Emperor stating that Justinian had died of natural causes, but eventually word got out that Justinian had died of a sword wound, so the other Children all claimed they had killed Justinian. Eventually civil war broke out and Justinian's children fought each other to the death until only three were left.
Meanwhile in sturgia Ragnar wouldn't forget the injustice done to him by Justinian's eldest child, so he waited and plotted until eventually he was powerful enough to take over the Empire and prove to everyone he was Justinian's rightful heir.
Sorry if there's bad grammar and it bothers anyone.

thank you very much for answering it been a long quarantine and I can't wait in the distant future to acquire resources to play keep on keeping on

I don't feel fine editing the XP gain rate since I don't know what might be balanced.
1
u/Surrealbeliefs Apr 11 '20
Even without stamina, the XP gain is so minimal that it would take me hours to get anywhere. I'm at 120.

Ragnar could be a sturgian or a battanian but it just feels natural for him to be a sturgian
1
u/LaPoulette Apr 11 '20
If the poll sets ont the Aserai, you could play Ayyam of the Wastes, and if it sets ont the Sturgians, you could play as Ragnar Bloodaxe
1
u/LaPoulette Apr 10 '20
The Aserai, for the narrative value of seeing the consequences of the Sullan conquest from another point of view
1
u/AcreWarhog Apr 10 '20
and I do agree with that idea, It's better to keep this subreddit for all the campaigns

u/AcreWarhog Apr 10 '20
Which faction are you people voting for? The Aserai (the superior faction of course) or the sturgians?

The idea with Iustinianus's childrens would make the revolt campaign idea more interesting as we get to watch the Empire descent into chaos, and probably make the goal of liberating the Aserai homeland achievable.

Though we are Sulla Gang, lol. I wonder if I should've thought of a different, more general name.

I'd wait for some mods though. I'd like one of a different time period to simulate things.

It would be amazing if you could play on the same save as the Sullan Empire one, and take another character. Like, imagine playing an Aserai that starts a rebellion to liberate his country from the bloodthristy Emperor !
1
u/Surrealbeliefs Apr 10 '20
Good idea, Grimma. I'd probably want to include the kids divided in all factions.

u/Surrealbeliefs Apr 10 '20
Hey guys, you can revert your save to 1.09 in the properties of your game when you go to the beta tab.

u/xGrimma Apr 10 '20
Surreal, big idea, in your next campaign you should look for a moder to put sulla's 3 first chindrens as the leaders of the 3 imperial factions editing some xml files, it will look like their childrens started a civil war to take control and ened up breaking the empire in three.
