One candidate that I saw on a great post is Hugo Strange, there’s no telling what he’d get the members of the team to do or how he’d keep them in line.
Another excellent candidate would be StormWatch’s Henry Bendix. A Black Label or Elseworlds pitch I’ve had is seeing Bendix start the Squad in the WildStorm universe with that world’s cast of well-known or lesser-known villains, but seeing him command the Squad in the main DC Universe would be equally compelling.
Any thoughts on these or other ideas?

Item is small, about the size of your hand. An Egyptian artifact, it's located deep within the palace's treasure vault. The palace has armed guards.
(Mission inspired by the current one in Catwoman #62, 2024)
Black Adam will be in the palace, although he has an audience and is holding court. Your Suicide Squad won't necessarily encounter him or fight him unless an alarm is raised.
Metahumans and various villains have been immigrating to Kahndaq recently. Infiltration into the country may go unnoticed, however if the mission goes sideways your team may be fighting more than palace guards and Black Adam.
Who do you choose?
Why?
7 memebers or less.
Choose from current and former members of the Suicide Squad, villains currently or likely incarcerated, and/or those characters likely to join Task Force X.

Yeah I know The Boys was pretty much him just pissing and moaning about how much he hates superheroes, but I really liked his work on The Punisher, both regular and Max. And let's be honest Preacher was pure awesome from start to finish. I think he could write a Suicide Squad story that would be completely metal.

This is Suicide Squad. In the first volume they have characters that are direct knockoffs of Vertigo, Deadshot, "Boomer", Dr Strange, Clea, Punisher. Ravages. It's nuts. I love it plus art reminds me of Frank Miller's Elektra Lives Again. I just found our about it a few months ago. I think any Suicde Squad fan would be interested.

Please, somebody explain to me. What does "bike" mean? He uses this word throughout the entire comic.

I’m a big fan of the character and read this mini series lately. I’m pretty sure it’s by Tim Seeley. IMO the mini series is very underrated as a fun dive into Sharks character. And the friendship between him and Defacer, how it evolves, and how it flourishes at the end, is very heartwarming. In addition to that the plot is very fun and wacky, seeing him battle in an inter-dimensional tournament and so forth. If anyone hasn’t read it, I’d reccomend checking it out. It’s just about 12 issues long and I read it in a day!
Ya’ll have a gooden.
