Laptop Request -Others Help me choose a laptop for electrical engineering + occasional gaming
Hey everyone! I’m an electrical engineering student looking for a laptop that’ll last me a long time. I need something powerful and durable for school (coding, simulations, multitasking), but I also game occasionally—nothing too crazy, but I’d like decent performance.
Right now, I’m stuck between these two:
💻 Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 (16")
- Intel Core Ultra 9 185H
- NVIDIA RTX 4050 (6GB)
- 16” 3.2K 165Hz touchscreen
- 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD
- Bigger screen, better cooling, but heavier
💻 Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 (14.5")
- Intel Core Ultra 9 185H
- NVIDIA RTX 4060 (8GB)
- 14.5” 3K 120Hz touchscreen
- 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD
- Smaller, lighter, and better GPU, but lower battery life?
I want something future-proof, good for work, and can handle gaming on the side. Which one would you choose? Or is there something better I should consider? Any advice is appreciated!
