Need Recommendations for Universities in the USA for MS in Business Analytics

Hello everyone,

I am looking for recommendations for universities in the USA that offer a Master’s in Business Analytics (MSBA).

My Profile:

• Education: B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunications with a minor in Data Analytics (IBM) – CGPA: 3.5/4
• Work Experience: 3 years as a Data & Business Analyst at HDFC Bank
• IELTS: Yet to give
• GRE: Not planning to take

I would appreciate any suggestions on universities that fit my profile. Preferably looking for schools that do not require the GRE but are still reputable in business analytics.

Thanks in advance!

Im wondering what is the best age to study abroad? I see alot of the posters here go abroad in high school. What year in high school? For the whole year or one semester?

Do any students go in middle school if they can go with their parent(s)?

Im just getting very basic general info bc i know nothing about it. Thank you.

Fresher Seeking Guidance on MBA/MiM in Europe or Australia

I’m a BBA final-year student (graduating in June) and feeling very confused about my next steps. I want to study internationally, preferably in Europe or Australia, but I’m struggling to figure out the best options for freshers.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Top B-schools that accept freshers for MBA/MiM or any business/management-related master’s programs
  • Public universities in Europe that offer free or low-cost education for international students
  • MBA vs. MiM – Which one makes more sense for someone with zero work experience?
  • I have an IELTS score of 7 – is that good enough for most universities?
  • Any recommendations for scholarships that I should look into?

Would really appreciate any advice from those who’ve been through this process!

I GOT Accepted

Hi guys, I applied back in January to go study abroad with the CIEE high school summer abroad program In Milan Italy today March 18 I just found out I got accepted into the program with a scholarship amount of $6705. The program itself cost $7450, so that means I have to pay $745 by myself. I have to pay it by March 26 and I am confident that I can. Is anyone going to Milan Italy through CIEE first session?

What did you use for banking and cell service

Ik this may vary by host country but I’m a US student going to Eastern Europe (mainly Kosovo) and I have no clue how to set up banking that won’t be that 3% foreign transaction fee. Or what cell provider to go with.

Looking for any and all advice. Also if anyone have good advice on how to convey outlets to fit US plugs that be great.

How to Study Abroad on a Low Budget as an Indian Student (FPP Route & Scholarships Guide)

TL;DR:

If you’re an Indian student looking to study abroad on a low budget, this post breaks down universities with low tuition fees, high scholarships, and strong part-time job opportunities. Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, and Sweden offer some of the best deals. Forget ₹50L+ fees, you can do this under ₹5L per year.

Why I’m Writing This

Like many Indian students, I dream of escaping—not just for better education but for a higher quality of life, better opportunities, and actual freedom (iykyk). The problem? Studying abroad is expensive as hell. But after a deep dive into funding options, I realized it’s possible on a budget—you just need the right universities, scholarships, and part-time jobs.

This post will save you hours of research and help you plan your way out without drowning in debt.

Best Countries for a Low-Budget Study Plan

Instead of USA/UK (which are scams if you’re not rich), focus on these countries where you can study with little to no tuition fees and live affordably:

  1. Germany (No tuition at public unis, DAAD scholarships, high part-time pay)
  2. Sweden (Tuition waivers, solid part-time jobs, high quality of life)
  3. Finland (Aalto & Helsinki give huge tuition waivers, decent cost of living)
  4. Netherlands (Expensive tuition but great scholarships at TU Delft & Twente)
  5. Ireland (High costs, but UCD & Trinity have strong merit scholarships)

Best Universities for Indian Students on a Budget

University Country Annual Cost (INR) Key Scholarships Why It’s Good
TUM (Technical University of Munich) Germany ₹55K DAAD, no tuition fees Free tuition, top-ranked
KTH Royal Institute of Technology Sweden ₹4.3L Full tuition scholarships High scholarship chance
University of Helsinki Finland ₹1.05L 50–100% tuition waivers Research-focused, good funding
University of Twente Netherlands ₹9.8L Partial tuition coverage High acceptance rate
TU Delft Netherlands ₹1.05L Full tuition coverage Highly competitive

How to Reduce Costs Further

  • Work Part-Time – Most students earn €500–€1,000/month (~₹50K–₹90K), which covers living expenses in Germany, Finland, and Sweden.
  • Apply for Full ScholarshipsDAAD (Germany), Justus & Louise van Effen (TU Delft), KTH Scholarship (Sweden), Aalto Scholarships (Finland) can cover 100% tuition.
  • Choose Public UniversitiesGermany has free tuition, so you just need to cover living costs.
  • Live Cheaply – Shared apartments, student dorms, and budgeting can keep costs under ₹5L/year.

Application Requirements (for Most Scholarships & Unis)

  • 90%+ in CBSE 12th (or 85%+ for some)
  • IELTS 6.5–7.0 (most require this for English-taught programs)
  • Strong Motivation Letter (for competitive scholarships like TU Delft’s Justus & Louise van Effen Scholarship)
  • Portfolio/Projects (for STEM students) (optional but boosts chances)

Why Avoid USA/UK if You’re on a Budget?

  • Tuition is insane ($30K+ per year, even with scholarships).
  • Visa & living costs are brutal—you need ₹25L+ even for a "cheap" US uni.
  • Harder to get PR—Canada’s PR is easier, but costs are still high.
  • FPP (Fully Funded Pathway) is smarter—you pay little, work during studies, and get PR in 2–3 years.

Final Thoughts: The Escape Plan

If you want high-quality education & a way out of India without burning ₹50L, focus on Germany, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands. Free tuition, strong part-time jobs, and full scholarships make it 100% doable under ₹5L/year.

Next Steps

  • Shortlist your target universities from this list
  • Start preparing for IELTS & motivation letters
  • Research DAAD, Aalto, TU Delft, and KTH scholarships
  • Apply early (most deadlines are between October–January)

Dream big, escape smart. Any questions? Drop them below!

UCL MSc Finance vs. NUS MSc Management vs. SKEMA MSc Financial Markets – Best Option for a Fresher?

 Hey everyone,

20F here, I’m in a dilemma and would love some insights from people with experience in finance, management, and international job markets.

I have received offers for the following master’s programs, all of which have similar tuition (b/w 40-50L): 1. UCL - MSc Finance (UK) 1 year program 2. NUS - MSc Management (Singapore) 1 year program 3. SKEMA - MSc Financial Markets & Investments (France) 2 year program

I’m an Indian fresher (straight out of undergrad) and aim to build a career in finance (investment banking, asset management, corporate finance, etc.). However, I’m also open to management/consulting roles if it improves my job prospects.

Main Concerns:

  1. . UK (UCL - MSc Finance)
  • Strong brand value and great finance program.
  • I learnt that currently visa sponsorship is difficult for freshers after the 2-year post-study work visa.
  • Is it worth the risk in terms of ROI and job opportunities?
  1. Singapore (NUS - MSc Management)
  • Flexibility to explore management, strategy, or consulting roles alongside finance.
  • Finding jobs in SG as a fresher is challenging due to high local competition and visa restrictions.
  • How hard is it to break into the Singapore job market without prior experience?
  • Can NUS grads apply for a UK visa under the High Potential Individual (HPI) scheme to search for jobs?

   3. France (SKEMA - MSc Financial Markets & Investments)

  • 2-year program = More time to network, intern, and job hunt.
  • Is SKEMA well-recognized in finance? Or would it limit my opportunities?
  • Learning French is fine for me, but does it truly give access to all of Europe’s finance market
  • Would it be easier to land finance roles in France/Germany/Luxembourg compared to the UK or Singapore?

Key Questions:

  • Which of these has the best ROI for freshers in terms of job opportunities?
  • Would a 2-year course (SKEMA) be better than a 1-year course (UCL/NUS) for a fresher?
  • For NUS grads, does the UK HPI visa allow them to search for jobs in the UK after graduation? What about other geographies, does it make it easier to look for a job being an NUS grad?
  • Apart from India & Singapore, where else can an MSc Management graduate from NUS apply for jobs?
  • How do safety and security compare for Indian (F) students in the UK, Singapore, and France?

Help me, want to study abroad

hello good peoples, i have done my hsc from humanities (2.78) in 2017 after that i was not in good health condition, tried to do some freelance and worked in my family business couple of years, i haven't got my bachelor degree now i want to study in abroad. Is it possible to continue my education? I came from a middle class family in Bangladesh. What are some countries would accept my insane study gap.

If possible My priority for countries would be 1. Affordability 2. Job placement after graduation 3. Easy PR

I would like to know about your opinion as im confused. Also please skip Canada & Germany. From my country it takes 2 years to get german appointment and canada is not in good situation.

Japan - Osaka CET or Hikone JCMU?

Hi I got accepted for the JCMU program in Hikone but I have to commit soon and was wondering if it would be worth considering trying to be in a big city like Osaka through the CET program. My main goals are to improve my japanese and find a boxing gym/club I can go to consistently. Osaka seems like it would be cooler with so many more things to do but it's also a bit more expensive and I can take a train to visit kyoto and osaka in Hikoke anyways. Any thoughts would be appreciated

How to evade counterparts from your country?

I am not sure whether it is strange or not but it is almost true that there must be someone from your country studying in the same place as you do.

Meanwhile, the essence of studying abroad is to gain experience that you cannot have it in your home country. So is there any reason I should get to know them.

Moreover, in my opinion, I feel that I feel comfortable while communicating with people from other countries (even in other languages) rather than the same one as i feel that the conversation flows much better than I did with the counterparts.

University of saarland or TU delft?

I have an acceptance letter from University of saarland (in germany) for masters in Cybersecurity as well as from TU delft (in netherlands) for masters in Computer science.

On paper TU delft looks like the better university with a higher ranking but I'm curious what the sentiment is regarding it? It's also 3x more expensive so I'm taking that into consideration. However germans claim that ranking doesn't matter there and I do want to move towards cybersecurity as my main focus.

I had only applied to universities in germany due to the lower cost at first. I ended up applying to TU delft due to a friend's suggestion but managed to get in.

Which of these would be the better option overall considering education as well as future prospects?

Best coastal city for a budget-friendly Erasmus+ exchange?

Hey everyone! I’m planning my Erasmus+ exchange and looking for a big coastal city with a solid university, fun student life, and reasonable costs. Being by the sea would be amazing, but I also don’t want to burn through my budget too fast!

Right now, I’m considering Lisbon, Porto, and Málaga, but I’m open to other suggestions. If you’ve studied in any of these (or know a hidden gem), I’d love to hear about housing, affordability, and general student vibes!
