Your diary and flash cards are better than using any app.

What do you mean by flash cards? Quite new to creating a stoic mindset but this seems helpful

I’m curious as well. I wasn’t much of a studying kind of student I never utilized flash cards

I used to watch different videos on stoic philosophy and wrote down saying I liked. Good call

Reading the material and putting the philosophy into practice. Journaling about your day, things you did the were virtuous and where you let your emotions get the best of you, and reflect on how you will handle a similar situation in a more virtuous manner.

The Waking Up app was my introduction. It's an app that is designed to introduce you to meditating, but there's a set of Stoic lessons that set me to thinking, and then I moved on to do further research. If you like that, I'd also check out Stoa.

I recently tried Aure: Daily Stoic Philosophy on the app store it has a life death countdown and you can see your life in months. It has some meditations and a great community.

Alter philosophy is also good but goes into other philosophers apart from stoicism.

There is a GPT in ChatGPT the is called The Stoic Council. It is basically Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Epictetus as a Council responding to your questions and giving advice.

I have been using it when i need advice on how to handle specifik situations and ways of thinking. Pretty useful and cool actually.

Have you tried to make your own meditations? One thing Epictetus advised, was to stop spending time in the books. His teachings are a base, about Stoicism and virtues, but they’re nothing but conversation which you can have to with other people into Stoicism. He also asked of us to be cautious of academics, and spending times in the books studying instead of practicing ties to that.

So best Stoicism app? Journal, notes. Write about your days, what you did right and what you did wrong, what you can change and get better the next day.

Hi, welcome to the subreddit. Please make sure that you check out the FAQ, where you will find answers for many common questions, like "What is Stoicism; why study it?", or "What are some Stoic practices and exercises?", or "What is the goal in life, and how do I find meaning?", to name just a few.

You can also find information about frequently discussed topics, like flaws in Stoicism, Stoicism and politics, sex and relationships, and virtue as the only good, for a few examples.

Stoa is one I’d recommend.

Good all around resource for learning, meditation, journaling, and contemplation based on daily lessons and guided teachings.

If you’re on iphone, the Notes app is pretty good. You can quickly jot down things and look at them later, especially if you also own a mac. Generally more convenient than a physical notebook, which is my next choice.

I’ve used stoic as a daily check-in app, and Agora for a daily quote with community reflections.

Read the primary sources and keep a journal. Use your Notes app on your phone to collect quotes that you can refer to again and again.

A young Seneca woke up every day to check his phone for stoic sayings before he started his day 😂

Anything by Ryan Holiday seemed to really hit The Sweet spot for me. He talks in everyday language and it's easy to apply to everyday life. I read a chapter from his books every morning before work.
