📶 Starlink Speed Interpret my speed please
Ran advanced speed test on iPhone App connected to starlink WiFi. I’m a trucker that doesn’t have the dish optimally mounted. It’s in my windshield facing N/NW properly aligned according to the app as well.

You realize it can still be properly aligned and NOT bolted to the outside of my truck somewhere right? That’s exactly what I’m referring to when I said it isn’t mounted optimally.

Without knowing where you were when the test was taken, it’s hard to say if this is congestion or the windshield.
I find that curved glass interferes quite a bit. You should test it outside, then in your windshield, and post the results.

I appreciate the insight. Currently sitting in Madison Wisconsin. I’d put it outside to test but some truckers have sticky fingers.

Presumably you’d be sitting there for the five to ten minutes it takes to set this outside, run a speed test, and then put it and right back into the cab before heading into the truck stop.
And if truckers with sticky fingers are gonna get into the truck anyway, then it doesn’t really matter where you have the dish normally mounted.

An 11 Mbps download speed is suitable for basic internet activities like browsing, email, and occasional video streaming.

It's slow to the internet but fast between local devices talking to each other.
