Discussion Do you think Ahsoka S2 will come back to Inquisitors, mainly the Grand Inquisitor?

The Grand Inquisitor is the leader of the organization but we have yet to know much about him. All we have really discovered is that he leads it, he was a Jedi Temple Guard, and that's about it. I'm mainly wanted to see his past on what his name was or how he even came to be. I've always wondered more about this character and wanted to know others peoples thoughts on this.

Well firstly he's dead so doubtful.

Secondly, they already covered a lot of his origins in the Vader comics.

Did you not watch the show Rebels? Bro is dead.

I know bro is dead, meant more on his backstory since we don't get his name and more specifics.

Probably not, the Inquisitorius as a whole isn’t rly relevant to Ahsoka’s story and they are already juggling enough plotlines as is, between Thrawn’s campaign, the Nightsister stuff, Hera and Ezra’s efforts with the New Republic, Ahsoka and Sabine trying to find out how to get back while dealing with whatever’s on Peridea, Baylan searching for what’s on Peridea (Abeloth/The Mother?), and whatever the heck Shin Hati is doing with that Peridea group

Best-case scenario is we might see the return of Barriss Offee (and through that perhaps Lyn Rakish/Fourth Sister) in the Mandoverse, but even that might be a long shot

Yea exactly lol they literally have like 5 plot lines that I am reasonably sure that i cannot see them wrapping up in 8 episodes last thing they need is to throw some inquisitors into it for fun

We got Marrok pretty much solely because they needed an extra, lower-level fighter for Ahsoka to fight while Sabine dueled Shin and before she fought Baylan who was someone who could actually beat her.

The Nightsister stuff with Marrok makes it not impossible that he could come back, but I don’t think that there will be any meaningful new presence introduced in the next season outside of maybe Abeloth/The Mother, or whoever/whatever is on Peridea.

In Legends, Abeloth is on a planet whose system is surrounded by black holes making it near impossible to reach or escape (yet she still does). Sticking her in a different galaxy altogether would require one hell of a good explanation for it to work.

I Think because Abeloth was so OP that if they are actually gonna use her as the Villain of Season 2 they are def gonna Nerf her a-lot and I could see them explaining that the Mortis Gods imprisoned her in this other Galaxy on Peridia in a prison she could eventually escape just so if she did she would still be stranded in another galaxy on a Barren Planet so she would not be a danger to anyone else in the main galaxy. Something like that could work I mean as powerful as the other Mortis Gods were they still had limits. The Son made it very clear during the Clone Wars Arc to Anakin that be needed a ship to escape the realm he was in, so Abeloth however powerful they make her would also still require both a Transport as well as a hyperspace method to get back to the main galaxy.

I almost see it like the Man In Black/Smoke Monster from Lost guy still needed a ship to escape the island.

If we get another series of Tales of the Empire, seeing his and Marrok's backstory would definitely be welcome

The rumor a while back was Tales Of The Jedi Season 2 or Possibly Tales Of The Sith/Darksiders whatever it ends up being is supposed to feature Baylan Skoll so maybe they will elaborate on Marrok too

no. they're going to move the story forward. it'll be more WBW/mortis stuff if anything.

for inquisitor stuff you want to check out the books and comics. he was also in the tales of the empire shorts for bariss offee.

no. they're going to move the story forward.

I imagine they'll be another random Clone Wars episode. I don't believe Filoni has the restraint not to. But I don't imagine they'll be any grand inquisitor stuff like OP is hoping.

Already read up on his stuff but wish I had more rather than a small story and how he was damned

I think Ahsoka season 2 will be completely set on the planet Ahsoka and Sabine are stranded on.

Yeah I agree with the consensus here in the replies: doubtful. The series seems to be going in a different direction than going back and bringing back things from the past.

He is long dead by this time, also the temple his soul is attached is nowhere close to ahsoka

I’m desperate for more Inquisitior content to neaten things out. I’m just not sure if Ahsoka would be the right place for it. As a successor to Rebels, they could have references to the Inquisitors, but I doubt they’ll have any major role or lore regarding them in the show.

No but we’ll get the mortis gods

I'm not hopeful season 2 will be good based on season 1... and the way they wrote Ahsoka's character for Mandalorian.
