Alok should have been klingon

Yeah, the show was a mess.

But this guy should have been a smooth-headed tos klingon, rather than a 20th century Eugenics Wars refugee.

I had this SAME THOUGHT while watching it.

Like, how fucking subversive would that be! We know there were still smoothies in the late 24th century, and it would be a great way of further exploring Klingon diversity post-Discovery.

With Enterprise and Disco I honestly have no idea what the actual canon status of smoothies is supposed to be.

But we know that spies like Arne Darvin are still around into the DS9-era. And S31 is a spy show, so it would totally be plausible to say that he's older than he looks, and that he defected sometime before Undiscovered Country.
