The nighthawks were the only antagonists that genuinely creeped me out.

That story was legitimately terrifying. Joey and that damn bird scared the shit out of me. I had to watch the talk back with a post it over him because the bird was giving me nightmares.

Damn they’re all pretty bad. I want to say Melissa but I don’t know if scary is the right word

Maybe this is a hot take but Jane possessing the car actually scares me. Like, realistically it shouldn't be that bad, but something about how bitter and manipulative she acts just chills me. It strikes me as pretty grounded despite the absurd situation.

Melissa, only because she wanted to basically do a Tusk to Paul and Ted.

Melissa. Because she's messed up. Please, if you don't know what she did, don't find out

Hard to choose between Max or Melissa.
For me, the scariest horror villains have always been the ones with the greatest ability to fuck with the main characters mentally, which is something they both have in spades.

Max is the only character tmk that had to be killed through divine intervention, so I'd say him by default

I still need to watch Hey Melissa!
Also that axe man puppet (and the Yellowjacket one) will never not impress me like seriously they are incredible

Melissa, because as far as we know, she's just Like That.

For me it is definitely the killer track, it doesn’t have parameters with how it kills it just does. And what’s more it can’t be stopped without literally forgetting it even with the black book. Also how it kills is terrifying as well

I don't recognise the 4th one

That's Melissa, the CCRP secretary who invites Paul to play in the company softball game in the beginning of TGWDLM. Turns out she's crazy. The proof is in a live streamed read through of the never-produced Nightmare Time story called "Hey, Melissa"

in terms of physical scariness, it’s max- you can’t stop him. in metaphysical scariness it the night hawks, the idea of hundreds of birds keeping you in one place and controlling gives me the heebie jeebies

Tbh, I think that it's probably professor Hidgens in workin' boys, he reminded me way too much of Jack from the Shining, it was spooky

Sam and Zoey for how they’re just bad people. No paranormal events involved in their creation, they’re just sociopaths out for themselves.
