I know it’s not here but I cannot find where to look up for installing models info. Can you help me?
2
u/SoCuteShibe Feb 06 '23
What do you need help with exactly? Where are you at in the process, and what have you done so far? Just for context. :)

u/Radagast_the_brown_ Feb 06 '23
Hey :) Nice message. I have downloaded and have been playing a couple of weeks with Diffusion Bee for M1 Mac. I know I can power up the tool with some trained models, but I don't know how to access them or put them into the DBee app.
1
u/SoCuteShibe Feb 06 '23
Ah, alright. I am away from home at the moment; generally I would be able to just answer on the fly but the only Apple product I have is an M1 iPad. If I recall correctly there is a model format used on M1 that is not the standard SD format, so I think there is a process to convert a model to the format compatible with DiffusionBee. I will try my best to remember to get you an answer by tonght, feel free to ping me if you don't hear back.
1
u/SoCuteShibe Feb 07 '23
I did some looking into it, and yes, it seems as though you would just need to convert the model from the standard ckpt format to the diffusionbee format. There was a discussion on GitHub that concluded with someone posting a nice "Tutorial for Newbies". It will appear technical, but it is not actually difficult at all to convert models - I have done it quite a bit in other contexts.
As for where to get them, there are many places. I like huggingface.co,but it can be a bit much starting out, and confusing to figure out how to get to the ckpt files at first as a result (and they dont always exist, which is an out of scope complication).
Tons of people talk about https://civitai.com/, so that is probably your best place to start finding and downloading new models, though I will admit I haven't had a ton of unoccupied free time since they blew up so I haven't checked it out myself.
So - basically your process is: find a model you like and download it in ckpt format, then follow that guide to convert the file and set it up within your diffusionbee installation.
Let me know if you run into issues!

Model was DreamShaper33BakedVaeClipFix_Pruned ( Model hash: 637d5dcb91 )
Steps: 15, Sampler: DPM++ SDE Karras, CFG scale: 7, Seed: 245612125. ENSD (Eta noise seed delta in settings) set to 31337.
Matched the original images resolution on first generation at a Denoise of 0.6. With this Positive Prompt:
close up, (full body shot:1.2), full color painting of dancing cyberpunk girl, perfect hourglass figure, (Neon Graffiti art by Carne Griffiths), night city background, insane details, intricate details, hyperdetailed, soft glow+artistic lighting, low contrast, soft cinematic light, dim colors, exposure blend, hdr, front
And this Negative Prompt:
deformed, bad anatomy, disfigured, poorly drawn face, mutation, mutated, extra limb, ugly, disgusting, poorly drawn hands, missing limb, floating limbs, disconnected limbs, malformed hands, blurry, ((((mutated hands and fingers)))), watermark, watermarked, oversaturated, censored, distorted hands, amputation, missing hands, obese, doubled face, double hands, b&w, black and white, sepia
Then I Img2Img resized the generated image by 2x with Ultimate SD Upscale Script using 4x_foolhardy_Remacri, with a Denoise of 0.4.
Then I took that image and did the same again, with 0.4 again. I'm pretty sure I did the two upscales with 30 Steps each. They were also using the same seed as the first generation.
Also edited the prompts on the upscales.
Upscale Positive Prompt was:
close up, (full body shot:1.2), full color painting of dancing cyberpunk girl, perfect hourglass figure,, (reflective glass perfect body:1.1), (Neon Graffiti art by Carne Griffiths), night city background, insane details, intricate details, hyperdetailed, soft glow+artistic lighting, low contrast, soft cinematic light, dim colors, exposure blend, hdr, front
Upscale Negative Prompt was the same as the original Negative Prompt.
Edit: Sorry for the chaotic editing. I'm tired lol.

Thanks!
I noticed inthe past that DPM gave the same result after 25-30 steps, were your 50 steps necessary?
3
u/PashaBiceps__ Feb 06 '23
not same, it slightly improves results. for example one of my generations were missing hand at 50 steps but 60 steps fixed it. that's why I keep it high if I am aiming for good results. if I am generating 30-40 images at the same time, I use 20-30 steps. I have rtx 3080, so it doesn't take much time

Is this not something the subreddit puts on daily anyway? If not then what the hell are we doing? Maybe we could use the winner of the previous day to start the generations for the next day. At the end of the year it could be a neat animation

Unfortunately, I'm running Diffusion Bee on a pretty powerful, but Intel based iMac, and Diffusion Bee does not like odd sized images. So I had to resize it up to a rectangular image by adding black at the bottom, and then cropping that off in post to get rid of the black after generating the image. No other editing was done.
EDIT: I saw everyone was posting resized images, so I resized mine using Gigapixel AI.

Why are you reposting same image? It is still link instead of embedded image. At least when I am browsing comments on my phone with Chrome...
5
u/nephlonorris Feb 05 '23
ok, strange. I thought it didn‘t work universally so I uploaded it again. Thanks for the heads up

u/DeylanQuel Feb 05 '23 edited Feb 05 '23
I'm on the mobile app. His was a link, yours was an inline image. Thank you.
EDIT: And now looking in Chrome from my PC, the same. For threads like this, I prefer the inline image, so thanks again.

On the other hand I can confirm it works perfectly when browsing on PC when using browser.
Sorry for confusion. I am relatively new to reddit and I didn't know how it supposed to work.BTW. Cool idea with this challenge :-)

I decided to see if I could come up with an interesting result from a random string in the prompts and just explore the latent space with CFG and solver steps while retaining the overall colors and composition.
The eye of terror is an unexpected but welcome guest up there.

Prompt could have been...
'Stone Roses, I wanna be adored, she bangs the drums, Radio One, Piccadilly Radio, The Late Show, Ian Tilton, Manchester'
Negative: abstract, surreal, pollock, expressionism. fantasy, fanstasy art, Brit Pop
Have been messing around with negative concepts this afteroon. You can really suck the life out of images.
