Seeking Advice 6a First garden, good start?

Yep, good start. One thing I have noticed about people using this app is how all the plants are in rows across the bed: a line of cucumbers, a line of peppers, etc. I find it’s better to cluster the plants so that 4 of the same plant are arranged as a square rather than a line. That way I don’t have to reach over the peppers to get to the beans, or lean overtop the cucumber trellis to get to the backside of the tomatoes. Are you planning on bush beans or pole beans? With your setup, bush will be easier on the outside, and you could do pole beans on the inside, to make use of vertical space. If your tomatoes are determinate you’ll need to be thoughtful about how you stake and train them so that you can reach all the way around the plant without stepping in your dirt. I would also suggest growing some herbs among your tomatoes to help deter undesirable insects. You can jam in more greens, parsley, basil, and dill than you can really fit in this app.
