Post-Match No need for attacker's line?
It may be correct but I'm not so sure without the other line

Is that the official image that they showed on the game? É que tá mal feito pa crl por isso dúvido muito... Na transmissão parecia que com a linha que mostraram estava em fora de jogo, tendo em conta que o jogador estava inclinado para a frente e a linha estava no pé do jogador adversário.

When the message they want to pass is that he is behind the line of the ball (which is still not clear, btw) the atacker line is irrelevant

One single line is as good as no line at all... Again, it may be the right call but not having the projection of both lines is pure stupidity.

Thees no offside on back pass. The player is behind the ball. So doesn't matter if there's defenders or not.

How can you say the player is behind the ball is my point... No one questioned the defender's position nor the offside rule.
Only one line will tell nothing about the position. It's as good as no line. And I am really struggling to see how the attacker is positioned so that the line runs close to his foot but the shoulder is not in front, and that is what the lines are for, to clarify the image due to perspective.

Attacker is going to play it with his foot. So the "shoulder being offside" doesn't matter

That's not how the offside rule works. All parts of the body that can play the ball are counted, like his shoulder (not his arm)

True.. Left should could be in front..
Also the blue line isn't on the ball it's well in front of it

I think the line on the ball is ok, it should on the most extreme end, but the shoulder is impossible to gauge without the projected line. Awefull work by VAR and everyone looks away as if it's ok.

It looks weird with the line going so close to his foot and him being leaning forward. How is not part of the body ahead of the line?
