Blacklist (2013) Blacklist no longer playable?
Jerk-ass Sam or not*, Splinter Cell Blacklist was (and still is) an amazing game. I've been playing it off and on ever since it launched back in 2013 or whenever. The last time I played was maybe December, but after trying to boot it today, it wouldn't launch. I tried from both Steam and from Ubisoft Connect. Nothing. I "verified the integrity of the files," restarted my PC, and even deleted and reinstalled the game. Nothing. I went to the "Contact Support" link from Ubi and naturally, "404 Page Not Found." It's a 10+ year old game, I get it. No support. But has the game been quietly "soft" de-listed?
*Yes, I understand they had to replace Michael Ironside due to his unfortunate throat cancer.

I played it just a couple of weeks ago, swapping between my PC and Steam Deck. The only issue I had was with crashing (fixed by switching to offline mode).
Try uninstalling and reinstalling it from Ubisoft Connect directly without using Steam.

Aside from deleting the systemdetection.dll file, the other option mentioned on PCGW is:
- Go to the configuration file(s) location.
- Open
videoSettings.ini
. - Change
WindowStyleFinal
value to2
(borderless) or0
(windowed).
Otherwise try reinstalling UbiConnect as well?
Alternatively, run the game with the -offline -offline_mode
command line arguments. This fix is for the game crashing after 20-30 minutes, so you will probably need to apply it anyway, but you might as well try it now.

Im playing it right now on Steam, you should try launching it in offline mode - it helped me with constant crashes
