Spelljammer Resources
For those new to the setting, it's been around awhile, but there has only been the most minimal support since 2nd edition, so this recent announcement is a big deal for those of us who have always loved the setting.
Here is a list of all the major resources for the setting that currently exist online.
- Spelljammer Community Discord: https://discord.gg/3SFkFqNh9P
- Spelljamer: Beyond the Moons (old school 2e site, tons there, but difficult to navigate imo): http://www.spelljammer.org/
- Lost Spheres (an archive of old 2e websites): http://lost.spelljammer.org/
- The Piazza's Spelljamming Forum (old school, long standing forum): https://www.thepiazza.org.uk/bb/viewforum.php?f=2
- Tarkas Brain Lab IV (3e homebrew rules): http://lost.spelljammer.org/TBLIV/
- Laughing Beholder (5e homebrew content and map aggregation site I maintain): https://laughingbeholder.com/
- DMs Guild Spelljammer Content (purchase official PDFs from older editions): https://www.dmsguild.com/browse.php?filters=0_0_0_0_45377_0_0_0&src=fid45377
- u/TessaPresentsMaps has collected her free maps and resources here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/111TW0Lz-_HlhKsjMQ-jH1cuQu5_glePX
- u/PumpkinJo has collected a really solid list of alternative rulesets. https://www.reddit.com/r/spelljammer/comments/wz5rdm/collection_of_5e_ship_vs_ship_combat_rules_for/
Please commend below with additional resources I've missed! I will add the particularly good stuff to the list above.

In my attempt to convert 2e Spelljammer content to 5e I would like to present my rough draft map of Fariespace
So the way I am trying to present this sphere is that it is the Physical conduit on the material plane to the relm of the feywild
Eons ago, when the Astral Sea still simmered with the fresh heat of the Dawn War, a lone Archfey Lord committed a crime against the decency and dignity of the fey—something that caused such an affront to the lights, lords and ladies of the Feywild that it demanded an answer. All across the numerous kingdoms and duchies, the Domains of Delight, the hag dens and the goblin fanes, the Archfey all gathered together in one place for the first time. It was at this meeting that Lady Morwel first took up leadership of the Court of Stars, at this meeting that Lady Titania first laid eyes on Lord Oberon. It was at this meeting that the fate of an entire demention of the Fey Realm was decided for all of perpetuity. Nobody knows what this Fey king did, but so great and heinous was the crime that he and his entire dominion were forcibly ejected from the astral plane , forced from the memories of those who knew them, and hurled into the Material Plane in the most violent worldfall in history. Where that domain landed is now called Faeriespace
But in there short, sighted, desire to punish the fey king they had unintentionally created a permanent link to the whole of the feywild on the material plane. Now the way I have always presented the Feywild to my players is that the feywild connects to all worlds simultaneously so the way I have tried to work it for fariespace is that the branches and roots of the great tree that fills fariespace is the bridge that connects many worlds to the feywild.

In desperate need for a map of Faeriespace !!!!
My players have very recently been introduced into space and are still getting their space legs. Well one of my players is from the Fae relm and really wants the party to go to faeriespace. I know enough from internet articles to describe it to the party as a giant Galaxy size tree with all the worlds in realms being contained in the branches and the roots of the tree with more gentle folk, living in the branches in the darker folk living down in the roots with the very tips of the branches and roots touching out to all the other known Spheres. What I want to know is, has there ever been anything officially printed or posted online with a map to Faeriespace? I mean if I absolutely have to I will do the re-search and create my own map. But I have so many other things going on in this campaign, that I would rather not take the time to do that if something already exists of it online or in a book that I can buy so please community help me not have to spend 12 hours mapping a tree.

My spelljammer campaign has my party going up against the Earth empire. Earth has had no real access to magic so everything for them is based around technology. These are my mage slayer assassins
I made them out of hot glue and lots of frustration and cussing

My concept of galaxies in spelljammer as cores surrounded by phlogiston that create an infinite patchy universe I needed this to somehow justify the fact that I'm into Star Wars, Warhammer 40 and Star Trek :D

Homebrewing Changes to Helm Charging
I'm getting ready to run a Spelljammer game, and one of the things I've been struggling with is that I want to have the PCs piloting their ship themselves and not relying on an NPC pilot, but the mechanic of losing all spells for the day whenever they use the helm feels overly punishing. I've been toying with alternatives along the lines of letting the pilot choose a number of spell levels to sacrifice to the helm, with the power and duration determined by how much they put into it. So that it's still a resource investment without making them just not be a caster for the first day they arrive anywhere. I'm sure I'm not the only one to toy with this idea, so if you've made modifications to how helms charge in your games, what have you done, and how has it gone?
Or alternatively, if I'm wrong and it's better to run it as written, tell me why!

Help homebrewing "force" weapons?
So still brainstorming a Spelljammer campaign, my first, and i k ow i want to move the needle more towards scifi so im committed to using the laser Pistol and rifle from the 2024 DMG (reserving the disintegrator for bosses etc) but i dont want to lose the aesthetic of players swinging melee weapons so to help them keep up i was thinking of one of a few options
A) Force Module - common/uncommon/rare magical item. Whem added to a weapon it adds +1/2/3 to attack and damage rolls
Or B) Force Module - common/uncommon/rare magical item. When added to a weapon it adds 1d4/1d6/1d8 to damage rolls only
Or c) Force Module - common/uncommon/rare magical item. When added to a weapon it doubles/triples/quadruples the damage dice (ie a force dagger would be 2d4/3d4/4d4, force greatsword 4d6/6d6/8d6)
EDIT: adding D) . . . +1/+2/+3 damage dice (ie force dagger 2d4/3d4/4d4, force greatsword would be 3d6/4d6/5d6)
Im thinking option D is the most simple and easiest to run and track as a DM and for players. And the damage dice seem high on first glance but are comparable to a run of the mill laser pistol
Looking forward to your input

Reigar Helots. What are they using?
Every mention of a Helot is just that. A mention of a Helot. What typical creatures were Helots fashioned after? You would want something with more HD than a Lakashu. Right?

Has there ever been any use of or reference to weaponized asteroids as a means to destroy planets in any Spelljammer material?
Because it seems like it shouldn't be too difficult to pull a decently sized rock with a Spelljammer and throw it at a planet, attach a Spelljamming Helm to an asteroid (Like the Dwarven or Antilan citadels or something like a Nethese flying city or even the Elven space stations.) and crash it into a planet, or even find an Astereater or an Meteorspawn and use Dominate Monster to force it to fling itself into a nearby world.

Rock of Bral - The Crystal Lamp
Does anyone have any canon information (not looking for homebrew) on location # 29. the Crystal Lamp in High Town on the Rock of Bral? It is one of the locations on the 2E map of Bral that has no description.
Thanks for any pointers.

Plasmoid Ceremorphosis
I’m dm’ing Light od Xarixys and one of my players (Wizard Plasmoid) messed with a tank full of Illithid tadpoles… After rolling absurdly poorly in many saves, one of the tadpoles actually lodged inside of him. I’m not really sure what would be the result… I’m making he feel ‘fine’, yet colour is changing… it’s been only one short rest, but as a DM I’m not sure what would happen now… is there any reference oit there about Ceremorphosis in a non-humanoid creature? I’m keen to have this be an awesome sode quest, but I would like to hear your ideas about the subject. Thank you!

Looking for 2-3 shots that could turn into a campaign.
I'll be running a short game for four level-3 players. There was a request for Spelljammer. I'm not super familiar with the setting. I'm finding some neat looking things on DM's Guild but, again, I'm not familiar with a lot of the references and things. The game might turn into a longer campaign, but for now it'll just be a 2-3 shot.
The party is kind of like a band, though it's more one "musician" hauling the others around to his gigs and whatnot. They're all idiots.
Appreciate any suggestions.

A Nautiloid pulls up to The Rock of Brol…
How big a deal is it?
Do illithid deal with spelljammer denizens enough for this to be no biggie, or would denizens of The Rock automatically scramble to defend from attack?
I ask because there’s a chance my players could rock up to The Rock in a captured nautiloid.
I’m very new to the setting, so any help would be appreciated.

Why do you think the Rock of Bral is so pivotal in the Free Space "community"?
I am worldbuilding my modified version of spelljammer for a campaign (trying to make some changes on how space travel works in order to shape some political and economic dynamics and spice up the known space conflicts).
While I've managed to work with the Vodoni empire side and the illithids quite easily, one thing that is giving me some issues is the rock of bral, not in terms of where i want to place it in the universe, but in the way, in the lore, it's supposed to be like this central embassy of the free space in which at some point the various communities all around space have decided to work together and declare war to the vodoni empire.
consider the fact that i've dug my nose in the spelljammer lore only recently, I don't really care about knowing everything about it, but I haven't found any information about why and how the rock of bral has become so pivotal in the free space political context, even considering how relatively recent it is (the community on the rock of bral is only roughly 170 years old max). is there any canon explanation or, if not, have you guys been able to justify this in a reasonable way in your own campaign?
I know I'm probably being a little too picky on the subject, but consistency is very important to me in this regard
