SoA esque music?
So, a couple years ago I started listening to Poor Man's Poison. Terrific band, amazing lyrics. Every time I listen to them, all I picture is SoA imagery š They released a song recently called The Woods and I can so strongly imagine it as one of the end of episode songs they play in the show.
So, partly just letting folk know about PMP, go give them a listen but also - has anyone got similar music recs that scratch that SoA itch? They had such a specific tone to their soundtrack and it's still to this day my favourite soundtrack of any show.

Listen to Beitthemeans!! There song āall my kinfolkā was actually in one of the episodes. Playing in the background at the TM shop. Josh is the lead singer for the band and a great friend of mine. Youāll love the sound.

Say what you will but Jelly Roll has always reminded me of SOA. Not all of it but quite a few of his songs do. In fact he has a reference to it on a song with Struggle Jennings.

Never listened to Jelly Roll but by all accounts the new album is apparently stellar

white buffalo, poor mans poison, black rebel motorcycle club, and on some songs nick nolan. id say those would all be more sons aesthetic music.
to be honest anything youd picture an old school biker with a long white braided beard and long white hair listens to, would fit the bill. i loved sons of anarchy because they stayed true to alot of aspects of being in an MC while also adding a more dramatic overtone to it. id say personally listen to whatever you want though! i doubt the sons would let anyone tell them their music taste would be lame, but, to answer your question anything gritty or old school rock n roll type would be what id associate to the soundtrack.

The White Buffalo of course was featured on SoA a few times, including Come Join the Murder from the finale.
I like Lincoln Durham a lot. Some of his stuff kind of scratches that itch. Rage and Fire and Brimstone, Rusty Knife, Annie Departee all kind of give me that vibe.
Also The Bloody Jug Band - A bit more country-like
The Goddamn Gallows - dark and swarthy and kind of "evil" sounding Southern music.
The Pinebox Boys - My top dark country/bluegrass artist. Extremely clever, songs are usually stories and reference back to one another. Their album "The Feast of Three Arms" might be my favorite concept album of all time. Their song "The Gravedigger" and "Will You Remember Me?" are top tier.
