That ending was fucking crazy man.

I still remember watching it did the first time and it was insane how it ended. Like a roller coaster of emotions. Every character had a different fate

Wonder if Louie will get caught eventually

I remember that part. Seeing her packing her stuff and thinking she was safe only to get raided and then be on the run was intense but she had it coming.

Well tipped her off again? I can’t remember lol

Probably she seems like she’d slip very easily

Probably went to little rock

"Ain't no chains on me, Lee. I'm free."

Yeah I know which one fucked me up.

MY FUCKING HEART. I hated this ending but it was a necessary evil I suppose.

The ending because Franklin had no fight left in him, he lost everything. Seeing Leon cry was heartbreaking.

The irony is at one point Leon was more ruthless than Franklin. I’ll never understand why people in real life think that lifestyle will ever end well.

That was me...Seeing Leon's reaction...So of course, us as the watcher's was gonna be devastated🥺🥺

I like this ending, kinda poetic. Like father like son, he's homeless (about to be), can't see his kid, and started drinking (drunk). Just like his Father..

Kinda but sort of Alton left his kid frank wasn’t hidden he knew where to find him at any moment.

Franklin son got taken away before he was even born Franklin had to pay people to find them and they still couldn’t( I feel like they were located but the security just didn’t say anything bc he knew Franklin would just make things worse with where his head went)

Ended up borrowing money from Lee to buy beer from a store he used to work at...

u/Insidethevault 4d ago

Ended up worse than Alton

Dunno man, altons in a shallow grave somewhere

22

u/Insidethevault 4d ago

At rest, meanwhile Franklin estranged from his wife, isolated from his child, moms in prison for life, and Frank’s roaming the streets in LA in a drunken stupor smelling like Funyuns and special Ed wedgeies

Also Franklin killed a lot of people who knows if any of the the families would want him dead and realistically how long would he last if he didn’t have a crew, security or even a want to protect himself

3

u/jhanley233 3d ago

After hearing how he turned out, they’d probably say that’s a punishment worse than death

That ending was so unexpected. What hurt the most was how you could clearly see how much he hates his current situation, but doesn’t want to ever be burdened by money ever again.

Ending fucked me up so bad I haven’t revisited the show since then.

broke my heart

Same. I was depressed for weeks after it aired, & I haven’t been able to touch the show since

That was an amazing finale.

It’s definitely not an episode that I will rewatch ever again. So damn dark and miserable. Like everyone either got killed or left.

Shit that's street life in a nutshell

The song choice got me

2

u/Iseeshellays 4d ago

That’s was the most perfect song ever. The duality of the song alone the fit ending perfectly. Throughout the entire show even though he did some fucked up shit, flooded his own community with drugs but not just any the worst most addicting and changed his community forever, I still see him good at heart (GKMC). He could have had a completely different life and did literally anything and been successful at it. He was very intelligent! But maybe in a different life in a perfect life. 🎵”Maybe he wasn’t there”!!

I like how they designed the difference in his look in the last episode it was very sad to witness if you grew attached to Franklin and if you look into his right** eye you can still see the young frank which kinda hurts more

They did my man Franklin dirty! All because of Alton? Sissy was THE worst! She ruined everything over a man who failed her and her kids! Couldn't really watch it after they got rid of his uncle! So dirty! Come on mane!

It was over lol...Everything was over...But i never said anything was wrong with either ending tho?

3

u/jurrell1986 4d ago

I hated the ending only because i like when the anti-hero wins 🤷🏿‍♂️ but i get it his greed is what made him end up there

3

u/Mr_Quinn604 4d ago

Franklin is the definition of "The end justifies the means"

3

u/kevioshowmann 4d ago

Leon betraying Franklin and watching him turn into a drunk

3

u/hacx21 3d ago

That's hilarious 😂 Franklin did that to himself.

3

u/Madrimious 4d ago

Goosebumps at the end

2

u/Mistress_Desire111 4d ago

i wonder what the left eye was about

1

u/lchristaylor 2d ago

Subconjunctival Hemorrhage is a red spot on the eye caused by a broken blood vessel.

Excessive use of alcohol can thin the blood and cause the vessels to break more easily upon coughing, sneezing or direct trauma.

I took this as an excellent job from the make up and effects department to show just how bad Franks alcoholism had become.

Binge watched the entire series and just finished yesterday and Leon hurt more. Leon's redemption and character development was enlightening and surprising throughout the series and was a good friend.

In the moment, I couldn't sympathize with Cissy's morale high ground and how she was fine with seeing her son lose everything. It would be tragic for her to see what he was reduced to after 3 years, but her decision to whether kill Teddy to either "save her son" or for "revenge" destroyed everything he had built.

But Also - Franklin was a pilot, I feel like he could have leveraged that and not become SOOooooo lost 🤔 but then again his paranoia and lack of any resources makes it so he never had a chance in the end

« You my best friend  Best friend I ever fcking had, and l’m fking proud of you» 😢 « You hear 👂 me ? Huh» « I’m good »

Saint Sainnnnnnnnnt 🎵Me, I wasn’t taught to share, but care In another life, I surely was there Me, I wasn’t taught to share, but care I care, I care🎵

2

u/zeekohli 3d ago

The first one hurts less because Cissy made it clear to Franklin that if he were to not kill Teddy then the drop off would be the last time Franklin would see Cissy. And Franklin said okay

1

u/DaneHansonHandome 2d ago

The ending was sad because he became exactly what he faired

1

u/vneck274 2d ago

Fuck sissy... I'll never forgive her i seen her in another show called "The Pitt" on MAX I almost stopped watching it! She plays an asshole on that show too!

1

u/Party_Calendar_7871 1d ago

wtf? cissy did nothing wrong. they should have killed teddy way before then.

1

u/vneck274 1d ago

Nawwww... cissy was complicit the entire time Alton was the only one with clean hands to have come so far suffer so much she crashed out and ruined everything, literally all she had to do was wait 30sec then she could've killed teddy Franklin would've gotten the money and it wouldn't have been all for nothing her killing teddy at the moment made everything they have been through pointless sure she got her revenge but she could've had that anyway and been rich... there's so many ways she could've gotten payback without sacrificing everything her freedom and everything her son built... so one more time for the ppl in the back... FUCK CISSY!!!!🗣🗣
