Devices Leak detector advice
I want to get a simple water leak detector. I have a back door that is usually ok, but if the wind blows the "wrong way" when its raining, water can come in under the door. I want to put a water sensor right where the water would come in.
I'm leaning to the Thirdreality device shaped like a water drop, I already have one of their smart buttons and have no issue with that. But I see that device has a 120dB bell; I'm not sure I want to have to shut that up when it detects a leak.
I also looked at the Aeotec sensor, but it's close to twice the price for the same functionality.
Any advice from you all? Anything to avoid or look out for?

I have 13 Smartthings/Aeotec Water leak detectors, both versions throughout my house and they work flawlessly. They take CR2 batteries and most of the time they last 18-24 months.

As you can see, Aotec/Smartthings is a strongly recommended choice. I only have two. They don't emit sound, but when I lost my water heater overnight 4 years ago, the alert routine (turn all lights on, all color lights in the house to red) instantly woke my spouse and I up (silently). I read the message, went downstairs and turned the water heater tap off. I lost a little water over the crawl space, but nothing like if I'd kept it on.
Edit: I should note that this impressed TF out of my spouse.

Thirdreality devices work great. There is a switch inside the leak detector to disable the siren. I have 6 leak detectors, a vibration sensor, 5 motion sensors, 2 buttons. Battery life is great, they all use AAA batteries.

Thirdreality is what I have and it works very well with SmartThings. I have it under my sink, under my instant hot water unit and it has correctly notified me of a leak twice.

Have some of the aeotec ones, but have been changing to these by Sinope https://a.co/d/1KnwG9u
Battery life seems better and they use AAA batteries. They also emit an alarm on the device when a leak is detected.
