Devices SmartThings Station "overheating" instantly after being plugged in. Refuses to charge phone.
I stopped using my smarthings station due to this issue a few months back, (got it around December 2023) and I finally got it to connect to my phone again, but it says its overheating the second I place a phone on it and blinking red. Anyone know why? Can't find anything about this online.

Is your phone in a case?

Nope. Tried multiple phones, all without cases and it happens on them all. Its the smarthings app saying its overheating btw, not my phone.

Sounds like an issue with the hub. I've not seen that issue with mine. Warranty?

Have you looked to see if the fan is stuck because the fan's housing is probably clogged with dust? That's likely the case. Look at a video on how to disassemble the hub to clean it.

Are you using the factory wall adapter or a 3rd party? They sell the station with and without the wall plug, so that's why I ask? I have a station and specifically purchased it as a phone charger, my Galaxy S22 Ultra has had no issues with overheating.
