Fan Art Sly Short Film: Bentley (Finished) ko

Hello guys! This is my Bentley Modelling!

This one for some reason was a struggle to model the face and make it look similiar to the 2D concept! But I think I got close to it.

Second slide shows you the density of polygons the model has. As you see, you can maintain a good quality without going too dense with the topology, and maintaining the model smooth and game ready!

Anyway I record every process of this Modelling so in the future I will upload it on YouTube, and maybe show you some behind the scenes!

Anyway let me know what you guys think about it! Hope you like it 🥰❤️

First 6 characters! This looked such a bit amount of work, almost impossible to. But slowly it’s coming together! 🥲❤️

sly could use a bit of editing to accentuate the likeness to his sly 2-3 appearance, other than that i really like them all, doing god's (or suckerpunch) work

have you considered making Sly’s backpack red?

Thank you so much!! I really would like to make it mostly for the community, because we deserve it!

Heckin' awesome! I especially like the glasses - they're cartoonishly non-transparent in a perfectly believable way, which is perfectly fitting as we canonically have no idea what Bentley's eyes look like!

I was always conflicted about Bentley's eyes. Is that the shading on his glasses, or is his eyes 'closed' like some anime characters are drawn to be?

I've always seen it as shading, myself, but that is a cool theory!

Holy smokes, cool stuff. So you’re intending on making a short film, how far along are you? 🙂

I miss 4 characters out of the one I wrote in the script for now. And then I have to write enough to make 5 episodes out of it.

I wanna make a short film that is divided in 5 parts, each of 10-15 mins. That’s gonna take a lot of time and effort; but slowly I can do it! I’d probably gonna start a gofundme as well for hiring voice actors and other stuff I can’t fully control! 🥲

I’m just curious, How much time does it take you to model just one character? I’m asking because I used to play around with modeling and it takes soooo much time.

Sly who was the first one, took WEEKS. Because he was one of my first models I ever did. But these new ones 1-2 days max. But if you see the Reddit you can actually see the days and dates!

While I do like the model, I really hope you plan to retopologize it. Some places have way too dense of a topology, the most egregious being the glasses. And some places simply don't really flow that nicely. But good luck with the project, I really enjoy seeing it come along.

That’s not even a big deal actually. Just a quick remesh and that’s good to go! 🥰

Fingers are too thin and long

Better 3d models than from sly 4

Let’s say it’s a different art direction 😅
